Bali

We decided on an impromptu trip to Bali this Chinese New Year. A really short 3D2N trip. It has been about 2 years since I was in Bali for my hens night. This time, it was totally different. I went with a baby haha. No more partying and drinking like crazy.

The weather was terrible during this trip though. It poured like crazy everyday when we were there. Upon arrival, Charlotte was so excited to hit the beach. She couldn't even stay in the house long enough for us to get changed.

The sun was blazing hot when we left the villa. But it started pouring the moment we got into the car! Poor Charlotte... she had to give the beach a miss that day. We ended up checking out some popular restaurants and spent the day eating and eating! I could tell Charlotte was pretty bored. So I allowed her to watch some video during dessert time and even let her eat as much ice cream as she wants. We had a very good red velvet pancakes at The Fat Turtle Cafe.

Amazingly, we ended the night chilling at W hotel restaurant. I think Charlotte was so bored, she fell asleep in the stroller and gave us time to chill a little. We were both very pleased hah.

I was even more pleased that night when she allowed me to shower her without making a fuss and went to bed shortly after her shower. She always kick up a fuss when we go back pass her bed time. So I guess the rain didn't dampened our first day :)

On the 2nd day, Charlotte wanted to take a dip in the pool the moment she woke up! Fortunately she did as it started raining thereafter for almost the entire day again.

We snacked on some A&W while hiding from the rain.

The skies held up for a while in the evening. When the little one spotted the beach, she couldn't stop pointing towards that direction. She ran towards the wave like crazy. We were so afraid she got washed away. The sea level was almost till her chest and she was still pointing towards the surfers and wanting to go further.

We had to constantly try to entice her with sand play.

Doing her own sand spa hah

We ended the night at Cocoon Beach Club. Seems happening huh? It was actually pretty chaotic haha Charlotte was fussing quite a bit and she wasn't feeling her best. She had a slightly fever. But whenever she was playing, she seemed fine. She will only act up when she is bored.

Stopped by Dijon cafe for breakfast with out host in Bali before heading back on day 3.

It was more of an eating trip rather than suntanning trip for us. Poor Charlotte didn't have as much fun as we would expect her to due to the bad weather. But I was pretty happy that we get to chill out even more than usual.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International
