Japan Part 2

I'm back to blog. I know it has been quite awhile. I've been busy playing with my new iPhone these days hah. It's really not as hard as I thought it will be. But it's definitely not as msg friendly as the normal phone. I can't multi task as much now....maybe i'll get use to it soon. Back to Japan... I woke up early in the morning on the 2nd day hoping not to waste any time. This is the view from my bedside. Pretty cool huh? (I was sleeping on a double deck bed). Day 2: Osaka . It was just a 20 mins ride from Kyoto to Osaka. Eka is addicted to the gummy sweets in Japan. She practically eats a pack every morning. While looking for breakfast at Osaka, we came across the statue of a Billiken. It is said that if you tickle the sole of the statue, your wish will come true! Japan is packed with stalls selling all sorts of Bento sets, I couldn't resist the temptation to buy something again! Sumiyoshi Shrine. We also had the best grapes! It was bought at a road side

Japan Part 1

Alrighty i'm going to upload some pics to entertain all that have visited this blog and leaving feeling disappointed! Feeling a little tired from the pre-Halloween outing with my colleagues so I'll just make this a short entry. Arriving at Japan's Narita Airport And the first intriguing thing was the toilets! I wish Singapore has them. I love playing with the buttons haha Ven and I with our luggages waiting to take the train from the airport to Tokyo Inside the train We went crazy at Tokyo station just looking at the selection of food stuff! Everything was so nicely packaged, we felt like buying everything! We finally managed to narrow down to these... After 1 hr train ride to Tokyo and 2 more hrs on the bullet train, we arrived at our first destination in Japan, Kyoto! A closer view of Kyoto Tower We also noticed a lot of lockers around all the station in Japan. It's good for tourist to leave their luggage in it but we really wonder why does locals want to use them. We
I am back from Japan! I think Japan is a land of perrrrfection. Everything there is simply so perfect, it scares me sometimes. I think I prefer Kyoto and Osaka more than Tokyo. The place is much cleaner and I can find toilet bowels with butt cleaning function everywhere! hahah I have never came across a dirty toilet bowl in Kyoto. Anyway, I had fun in the toilet all the time. The shopping was good. I managed to buy myself a Burberry Blue Label. But I think I was too cautious with shopping this time. Fortunately for me, Der's going on wed!! I've prepared another shopping list for him with my left over yen heh. Yippeeeee.

Happy Birthday Darling! :)

Had a birthday lunch date with Der today as he's attending a wedding dinner tonight. As usual, I've decided to try out somewhere new and it turned out FANTASTIC! Both of us loved the place and food so much, we will definitely be back again! Introducing Dozo.... For lunch, we had a choice of a 6 course or 7 course set. We chose the 6 course and after tax and service charge, the bill came up to around $45 each. It is really worth it! Der couldn't stop taking pictures of the food and himself. So enjoy the pics :) Some pasta sticks and a small refreshing glass of drink to wet our appetite before the start of the course. Course 1: Starter- Scallops, foie gras and smoke salmon. Course 2: Side dish I had escargots while der had Foie gras chawamushi topped with black truffle slice. Course 3: Soup Crab bisque vs Mushroom soup with truffles Course 4: Main Beef tenderloin on "pu-ye" and granite hot stone (Must order!) vs Pork Cheek ( the meat is so soft and tender) The serve
