Bali Part 2

Happy Deepavali! I love holidays, I love slacking around alone at home, i love.... dream.. dream dream dream....dream.......only trouble is, gee whiz, I'm dreamin' my life away....(Lyrics from All I Hve to Do is Dream) Anyway, here to complete my entry on my Bali trip. In the mean time, I'm looking forward to my Vietnam trip at the end of Nov. Day 3 in Bali marks the main purpose of our visit to Bali. To witness the big day of Raymond. We met up at the lobby at 9am SHARP in the morning carrying a tray each filled with goodies. We've been reminded repeatedly about the auspicious hour we have to catch. The custom there states that 9 singles are supposed to each carry a tray filled with goodies and bring back half the portion later to be distributed to the relatives. We received ang paos for helping to carry a tray each heh While we were happily cam whoring in the shop house we were in, the parents of both side were engaged in a...I've no idea what's the word to us

Bali Part 1

Bali had been a nice getaway trip for me this year. I truly enjoyed myself not only because I had a chance to travel to some where new but also because of the new people I met. Having gone to Bali to attend Der's cousin's engagement dinner allowed me to know Der's cousins and friends better. Though we may be a little different in many aspects, I do like their company :) They are really funny ppl. So 4 of us arrived in Bali early in the morning at 930am as we took a cheaper airline (Lion Air) instead of SQ with the rest. It wasn't that bad. The plane was clean, the seats were comfortable. It was only the food that wasn't to my liking but I guess having something is better than none. According to TS, the apple juice was the best thing in the plane hah. The morning in Bali was thus spent roaming the streets. They were still empty in the early morning so we could shop easily without the tourist crowd and we did managed to do some shopping :) While roaming the streets, I
I'm back from Bali!! I had lots of fun! Will update soon. There's way too many pics heh I can't wait for my next trip overseas :)
I'm off to Bali tomorrow!! My first time going to bali and also my first time attending a wedding in bali. I'm pretty excited but i'm still in a packing frenzy. I simply can't decide what to wear. I don't want to look too sloppy nor too overdress. stress.... I better prepare to sleep soon. Getting picked up to the airport at 4am.

Office Happenings

There seemed to be so many things happening in the office now a days, ranging from good to bad. Shall not reiterate the bad stuff as i'm sure many of you would be aware of the markets now. Everywhere is cutting cost which means no more Christmas party for us this year! BooHoo... Well first up, Opening of new department in Singapore. We had a party in the office, with wine, champagne and lots of finger food going around. Cheers! Food glorious food. I especially love the scallops. Yum~ My current team. We grew from 4 to 8 now. Check out how red my colleague was from drinking. He was glowing lk a light bulb haha Group pics but of course there r more ppl in the office compared to this pic *** Next up, we celebrated our dearest HR, Chuing lee's birthday. The cake was from Choc-a-bloc. It is fantastic! The chocolate is so thick and creamy. It is definately worth a try.
