Best Yu Sheng Art

This was the best Yu Sheng Derrick and I made this year. I love it, everyone was impressed by it and it tasted good too! We were both shrieking and giving each other the high-5 at home when the image was slowly formed hahah. As the Chinese New Year come to a close, I hope everyone had a great new year and an even better one ahead.

Happy Chinese New Year

Happy CNY! This is the second year that we are not in Singapore for Chinese New Year. Last year was spent in Cairo and this year we are in Moscow. Even though CNY is not a festival that is celebrated in Moscow, we are fortunate to have a handful of Singaporeans here to celebrate the new year with us. We even made the effort to decorate our walls and play CNY music at times hah. For reunion dinner, I specially whipped up some dishes and tried to make them look as festive as possible. We had imperial treasure soup with lots of goodies like abalone inside the soup :), fish, veg, roast pork, ngohiong, salad prawn and lap cheong. We even displayed our creative flair by attempting our yearly homemade Yu Sheng. The best has yet to come. This is just a trial piece. The main event will be up this Sun hah Can't wait for more steamboat and Lo Hei during the weekend!

Staycation

Coming back to Singapore feels like a holiday to me now and having a staycation made it even more like a holiday. Thanks to my dear friend, we spoilt ourselves with a stay over at Capella for 1 night and an awesome luxurious meal at Fat Cow. It was a spontaneous effort and VIOLA... we managed to grab 2 of our friends over to chill with us in the day.  We chose the room with the garden view. The sofa itself can sleep 2 adults. Upon checking in, we spent most of the day taking pictures in the room as well as chilling at Bob's Bar. It has been a long time since all 4 of us met up together. We had so much fun that we all agreed that we should make the effort to meet up every time I am in Singapore.  3 of us used to hang out so much back in our SAC days. We had peacocks as company too as they were eyeing the nuts on the table. After chilling, we headed over to Fat Cow for dinner. The food was fantastic... but of course it came at a price. Definitely somewhere to in
