Cheverlot Drive 2007 - Bukit Tinggi

I was pretty excited for this year's Cheverlot drive as I had a great time last year. But this year's drive was a rather relaxing one as compared to the exciting, fast paced one i experienced last year. Overall, Bukit Tinggi looks nice on the outside but a little shabby in the inside. The place is also a little too small and there's nothing to do at all but sitting at the few cafes to sip coffee. Arriving at Bukit Tinggi: The Room: A few places of interest we drove to: The last place we went to is the Deer Land . My challenge was to feed the deers alone! I had to walk to the middle and feed them! Their saliva was all over my T-shirt. Though i did it, i was screaming like mad. My Family =)

Thailand Trip Updates

Best description of my Thailand trip... it was shopping, shopping and more shopping !!!! To be fair, there was also alot of good food but seriously, i nv had so much joy in shopping. I hardly thought twice about what I bought as everything is really much cheaper than things in Singapore. However, i think it's not a place for guys. Poor evan and especially bryan, looked super bored. For girls, if u dig casual stuff like me, BKK is the place for u. i'm seriously craving for more! So whoever intending to go there anytime soon, hurhur.. i'm always game :) Day 1: Yummlicious Dinner with Thai friends Followed by chilling out at Almajis, a Moroccan style cafe. Of course there was shopping in between dinner and chilling out heh. Anyway, Almajis is like a columbia house turned chill out place. Super cool! Day 2: Food galore... Day 3: Sightseeing at the Royal Palace Chilling at Brick Bar on the last night... Bye Bangkok... Biggest luggage belongs to mel :)
Off to Bangkok tmr! I'm still in the midst of packing but i'm kinda excited :) I wanna shop til i drop!! yipeee...I think i'll miss my darling though but it's only a short 4 days. Will return on tues, Nov 20. Bye Singapore...

Volunteer Work @ Rempang

I was quite excited when my aunt emailed me one day asking me to accompany her for some volunteer work at Rempang. I've always liked to do stuff like this but I'm a bit scared of dealing with the handicap, old and i think the list goes on. ok i'm not discriminating or acting princessy but it does requires quite a bit of courage and it takes time and effort to commit. Anyway, this volunteer work wasn't that hard... i thought initially ...It was something organised by a church to provide education to village children. And as a first timer, i was suppose to invigilate their english exam. The village sch... So you think being an invigilator is an easy job? well in Singapore maybe... But in Rempang...check out the scene of the exam... Everyone was practically trying to copy from each other, calling out to me to give them the ans., kids were running in and out of the class. And the best thing... they speak bahasa and I couldn't understand them practically the whole time!

Happy Diwali :)

My Diwali public hol was spent checking out the newly revamped national Museum. Apparently, the Singapore's museum ain't such a boring place afterall. It's pretty cool and I had fun! but i'm sure the company contributed to the experience *grinz* Speaking of fun, I'm sure my darling had the most.. he was all out to display his barely there artistic photography skills hahah ( ok i do admit some pics do look pretty good bleah... ). He's so proud of his pics, he now thinks he's the coolest dude on earth heh. Since it was diwali, I decided to join in the festive mood by getting a henna! But the guy was rather inexperience. His hands were shaking while doing it and the henna only lasted for 1 day. While queuing for henna painting, we played ard with the functions of our camera My fav pic. The function of the cam was suppose to blur out the sides but i couldn't get it right. oh well.. i think u look good here :) Pics of us... I felt lk a tourist. The day ended

*sweeet*

I think i'm going to get an overdose of sugar intake. awwww... this would be my best breakfast ever tmr morning :)

Singapore Slingers vs Wildcats

Ppl who know nuts abt basketball, do not be mistaken by the name Wildcats for the team in High School Musical. In fact, they're a real competitive basketball team from Perth. So since when did mel have an interest in basketball? heh... ever since my colleague gave me a pair of complementary tix to the match between our very own Singapore team (Singapore Slingers) vs Perth (Wildcats). I know the match ain't the best game ard, but it was a fantastic experience for a first timer lk me *beam* The atmosphere was great! I was happily cheering away the whole time. The ever so excited me!! Cheerleading performances The exciting match begins! Well of course... wat's in a game without the peripherals lk the oh-so-cute players! *Droolzzzzz* I was a little disappointed that Mr cutie 2 did not play at all.
