Sky Diving in Pattaya

I headed back to Singapore right after my Austria trip and went for a sky diving trip with my dear friend Joanette. We are both August babies and turning 3-0 this year so we thought of doing something to celebrate this year :) I am really glad she asked me along. If not for her, I doubt I would even to do something like this in my usual traveling plans. I was apprehensive about it after agreeing (all thanks to the many scary plane accidents in the recent months) but all the anxiety was uncalled for. We checked into Rabbit Resort in Pattaya.  We had a super huge bed for just the 2 of us. With my most frequent traveling mate Nette :)  Like I have mentioned, my anxiety was totally uncalled for. I was expecting the feeling of adrenaline rush where my heart will move all the way to my throat, the feeling when taking a roller coaster. But nope! Nothing of that sort. The feeling was soft and cushion-y when I jumped off the plane. I think i can say it was like landing on

The rest of Austria

We rented a car in Vienna for our road trip to explore the other towns in Austria. The first stop was Krems (lower austria), about 70 km west of Vienna. Standing in front of Steiner Tor, a preserved gate built in the 15th century. This is considered the symbol of the city of Krems. There are lots of shops and restaurants along this stretch.  We stopped over for lunch and had a taste of Austria's beef goulash.  On our journey towards St. Wolfgang, we drove past many wine yards in Wachau. We stumbled upon a truck BBQ-ing delicious mackerel. This fish only cost us 4euros and the lady kindly gave us 2 pieces of bread. I wished I had the stomach for another fish.   We made a pit stop at Dunabe Valley where everyone was frolicking in the waters, hoping to catch the last glimpse of sunlight before the dark clouds loom over. It started drizzling thereafter but we made it safe and sound to our lodging along Lake Wolfgangsee. This was where we stayed for a night and

Austria - Vienna

We managed to do a little traveling before I returned to Singapore this time. For this trip, we visited Austria ( *bet you didn't know...according to a survey by Mercer, the capital Vienna is the world's most livable country ). We started at the capital, Vienna where things were pretty quiet due to the summer holidays. Many shops were closed for the month of July/Aug. We stayed at the Leopoldstadt district in Vienna which was near a large amusement park. The trademark of this amusement park is the Wiener Riesenrad Ferries Wheel right at the entrance. We stayed at Hotel Nestroy, which is conveniently located near the attractions of Vienna. There is a beautiful balcony that reminds me of the scene where Romeo climbed into the room of Juliet. (I know the balcony does not look like this but this was the first thing I thought of when I saw the balcony) However that is about all that is good. I cannot pin point exactly what was the problem but the bed was uncomfortable to
