Forty Hands

I'm in love with the Tiong Bahru neighborhood. It is one of the oldest estates in Singapore that has kept its historical values yet infused the modern society into it so well. This can be seen with the quaint shop houses, pop up shops that sell quirky little nicks and knacks and modern and trendy cafes nestled everywhere. It is definitely a nice place to chill out on a lazy sat morning. After visiting Orange Timber and Drips Bakery around that neighborhood, today's stop was Forty Hands. The place was packed with people. I liked the food (no difference from all the brunches places though) but I think the food is over priced. $44 for brekkie for 2 of us seemed steep! (I am becoming an aunty. Sorry about it...) Regular cappuccino ($5)    Our Breakfast. Portion was just right.   $16     $18 I read about the kong bak pau and heard that it is really good. I'm sure it is, if the meat is done properly. But $7.50 for 2 pau? Come on... I'm not going to pa

Korea - Gyeongju

I have been back from Korea for about 2 weeks and everyone has been asking me how was the trip. Well it is always good to go on a holiday as I love traveling. However I think Korea as a country disappointed me a little. I had high expectations about it after all the Korea craze that Singaporeans are going through. I think 1/3 people you meet have been to Korea or are planning to go to Korea soon. (I also think that I was partially prejudice because of someone hah) Besides cheap make up, I think clothes shopping are not cheap! (Fiona said I went to the atas area thus the high price I see) However as I went during Spring, I was glad to have a chance to see the Cherry Blossoms! It was my first time and I love it. I am happy that we took a day trip to Gyeongju, a ciy with many historical sites. This is definitely a place you should go to see parks filled with Cherry Blossoms. Definitely different from the ones we see in the bigger cities like Seoul.  We chanced upon thi

Farewell

Yes it is a farewell once again.. Just 1 year and 5 months later. I didn't expect this time to come so soon. In fact, I thought this would be my final stop. Hopefully I made the right choice. Anyway it is too late to regret now... Oh and the coincidental thing is, I will start on 7 May 2012. I started my first job on 7 May 2007. Maybe I should buy 4D hah. My fire gang and I along MBS after our dinner at Todai... Thanks for dinner girls.. It has been a great 1.5years filled with tears, laughter, anger and joy and I literally meant every single word mentioned. All the best to us all!
