Sundown Marathon

Woohoo~~ No Sunday night syndromes as i'm on leave tmr! I'm so happy even though it is going to be short lived haha I dont care :) My knee hurts from the 21km Sundown marathon I participated ytd. No preparation is bad~ hahah oh well... We arrived early to get a parking spot. Doing all he can to prepare for the race hah I got myself a glow in the dark tattoo.. but i didn't see it glow at all even though some parts of the route was really dark. There were areas with no street lights at all. We were also given light sticks :) I thought it was pretty cool~ Started to get dark as the 21km race starts only at 8pm At the start line Lisa was late due to the jam. So we only had pics after the race.. care for a candy floss? We were exhausted after the run.. we needed a bed badly hah *** And for today, I rewarded myself with bacons for lunch at Jones the Grocer @ Dempsey. The food is alright and the place looks nice too. However the service there sux. Everything was almost self servic

T.G.I.F

And I literally mean it.... I'm starting to get worried as I start to feel that the week is always so long. I remember it took me more than a year before I felt this way in my previous job. I'm in this job for only 6 months and I am already feeling weary all the time. It's not the job per se ... Meeting der's colleagues for lunch today and even during the hs warming party during the weekend, brought back all the memories I had before everyone resigned. I kind of envy that colleague bond they share. You girls should definitely cherish it ! (I know you girls will be reading this hah! Yes I'm talking about you girls!) * I deleted an entire paragraph I wrote haha in case I get into trouble. The internet is never private! I'm such a chicken.. haha I hear this phrase about myself all the time.. *** Anyway, congrats to baby Haziq's on his 1 month old celebration :)

Food For Thought

Something's brewing and it is getting exciting! haha Ok it is not very exciting. Just that I never thought I'll actually be excited. We'll see how it goes.... Why ain't I a rich kid?? Anyway, my bunch of friends and I had dinner at Food For Thought and I love the food!! I think the standard's pretty good. Dessert wise, it wasn't great. Probably the cakes are better but I'm not sure. The tiramisu we had, did not have the slightest taste of alcohol. I have no idea why is it called a tiramisu. It should just be called .. Chocolate cake. But I really want to go there for breakfast one day... maybe some time soon :) We celebrated Faith's birthday for her slightly earlier and she was totally caught by surprised! haha Happy Birthday Faith! It's been some time since we all took a pic together :)

Congrats Der!

To celebrate der's new job, we went to The Black Sheep Cafe for dinner. Tucked away at 35 Mayo Street (off Little India), the place sure is cosy and definitely perfect for a quiet dinner for 2 :) There are cute portraits of pics in the restaurant and also sheep hanging around :) Our food I had lamb shank. The meat is tender but I still feel that it is not as good as Forlino's hahah but i guess there's a huge price difference as well. So what you pay is what you get. Der's pork cheeks on the other hand was a surprise! It literally melts in our mouth! I love it! Finally, dessert to end off our meal. Eggless chocolate tart. I like it! All the best to der in his new job!

More on Spain (Granada, Barcelona) & Portugal

I'm itching to take leaves to go somewhere else again.. I have more than sufficient leaves but I have my reservations about taking them. People in my co do not like to take leaves. They rather forfeit them at the end of the year! Wierd bunch of ppl... Over at Granada, we managed to get tickets to Alhambra , the main attraction of Granada. It is a world heritage site. A city, fortress and palace of the kings of the Nasrid Dynasty. The garden The structure inside and views from various high points. We also visited the Sacromonte neighbourhoods where they are famous for their caves, in which gypsies celebrate their nights with their flamenco songs and dance :) On our way up the neighbourhood... Flamenco Show! We were also very fortunate to be able to catch the Easter procession at Granada! We didn't expect to be able to do so :) It was such a grand event, everyone at Granada stopped everything to be at the event. It is like a small town where everyone knew each other, all gathered
