I am the new IKEA model! kidding..... hahah IKEA was doing some roadshow at the mall and everyone had a chance to be on the cover of the IKEA catalogue. We also get a physical copy of the actual catalogue with our face printed on it. Isn't it cool? I'm not sure if it's the lightings or camera function but everyone turned out good. There were no editing done. I got the raw pic and I think we both looked pretty good hah. Cheers to IKEA!

If you, Derrick is ever reading this, I would suggest you close this page. It's my right to type whatever I want. I won't mince my words because this is my space. The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

Bigger Issue

Now a bigger issue has risen for us to worry about. Due to unfortunate circumstances, LA seems to be going through an apocalypse. Everyone is told to stay at home. Schools, libraries, malls, everything is closed. No more dine in restaurants, only take out and delivery. Only shops that are open are mainly grocery stores and there are either limited food choices or there are queues to get in so as to ensure "social distancing". This "social distancing" is the in word now. I am not very sure about this term. But the distancing sux. It's so quiet everywhere, I feel like a zombie would appear in front of me any moment.  I just got news that even playgrounds will be closed starting tomorrow. How scary is that? Even though it has been scary going to the playground these days because we always end up being the only family there, at least the kids get to run a round a bit.  It is tough staying home with 2 kids.
