I've been busy busy busy. Despite being under the weather for a couple of days, I've done a second flea market sale at Serangoon, Tai Hwan Gardens yesterday as the booth was free! A couple of stalls were set up for the mid autumn festival party held for the residents.

My all time supporter heh

Thanks Nesh and Kai fen for coming down too :)

My very young but filled with purchasing power customer. I love kids when they shop with their parents heh.

Since I started MelT, I've less sleep these days but I find that my time have been more fulfilling. It got me thinking whenever someone asked me if it is worth it to do something like this? I guess there are 2 aspects to consider. Money wise or satisfaction wise. To be honest, I did not start off MelT harbouring the thoughts that I would earn big bucks. It was more of a fun activity to spice up my routine life and of course not to lose any money. Till date, I would say I have not lost in terms of monetary terms but I have gained more in terms of personal satisfaction. Something I cannot get from my full time job.

So even though I've been down with the flu bug for about 3 days, it did not deter me from having a very packed Saturday. My Saturday started off with brunch at House @ Dempsey. I love catch up gatherings with my SMU peeps over brunch at cool places so I did not want to miss this.

One of the favourites at House. 7-Layer Pancakes. The pancake was filled with assorted nuts, dried raisins, apricots etc. Actually the pancakes itself was sweet enough so I did not use a lot of the maple syrup.

After brunch, we headed off to Nette's place. It was kind of a housewarming thing. We brought along champagne and cheese too. To complete it, our house warming gift to her was a cheese plate and a cheese cutter. Sheryl was the one who chose the pressie and I thought it was perfect!

As Nette and Caleb were into poker, we ended up playing poker throughout the entire time we were there hah. Sheryl was serious abt the game.. hahah it was so comical.

Last but not least, a pic taken from the first Flea Market @ Scape Youth Park. Thanks for all who have came down to support and to those we have bought stuff from us. Hope you are enjoying it and will continue to shop with MelT :)

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International
