Play and More Play

What would a day be like if there is no play involved in Charlotte's day? Charlotte's day is filled with play and more play everyday. Wake up, eat, play, sleep... eat, play, sleep again. The cycle just repeats. Life of a kid is shiok. Oh not forgetting, torture her parents throughout the time she is awake. So on our 3rd last weekend in Moscow, it was more fun for the little monster. We headed out to the exhibition hall area located at VDNKh where Charlotte spent an entire day scooting around. The large open spaces here makes scooting around very enjoyable. ECP in Singapore cannot beat the spaces here. Charlotte is getting better at scooting. But most of the time, I would have to be pulling her along or manoeuvring her to prevent her from bumping into things or people. Along the way, we stopped by a little garden with mini super trees that resembles those at Gardens by the Bay. Charlotte spotted the little stones on the ground. She loves picking up little stones and ...

Playing Tourist

This weekend was all about re visiting places of interest in Moscow. Kind of playing tourist all over again before we leave for good. But technically, we are not locals. We visited the zoo on Sat and Gorky Park on Sun. Summer is going on full swing and it is hot outside. Charlotte was so lazy the past 2 days. At the zoo, all she wanted to do was sit on the stroller and eat. Whenever I pointed out an animal to her, she would just take a look and that was all! She seemed to be just patronizing me by taking a look at the animals and repeating after me the animals I told her. We did not manage to take any pics with any animals. All thanks to the uncooperative Charlotte. This was the closest I got to take a pic with an animal hahaha. But we did manage to see the white tiger and many other animals too. Charlotte got lucky at the toy picking machine in the Zoo. She managed to get a toy out. I think someone probably thought they did not win anything and left without checking. Charl...

Back in Moscow, For The Last Time...

We are back in Moscow and this will be the last time I am saying this. We are going to be heading to Los Angeles next month for Der's new posting. Time to re adjust and start to find new stuff for Charlotte to do again. I think my first concern will be driving. US is a place where driving is the main way to getting around. Since I will be with Charlotte most of time, I would need to drive to be able to bring her around. Driving is not my forte. I have not driven in years. We will see how it goes. Guess I got to do what I got to do. So this is our final month in Moscow. Charlotte sees Moscow as her home for now. She has been saying that she wants to go back to Moscow home when we were in Singapore. I have been telling her from time to time that we are going to a new home soon. I am sure she will forget this place in no time. She is still too young to remember. For now, she is happy to be back. I guess the weather plays an important part too. It is summer now and the weather is so ...

Bro's Wedding

The reason I am back in Singapore, is to attend my brother's wedding on 1st July. Congratulations! Even though this is a belated post, I have yet to see the photos from the official photographer. With a baby in toll, it was almost impossible to take pictures or have a proper conversation with anyone. I had to snap and run off to my needy baby. Fortunately for Derrick's new cam, I have a couple of decent photos at hand. The new Sony camera was definitely a good buy! The usual wedding routine started in the morning where the groom and brothers got ready to fetch the bride. Charlotte on the other hand was a total brat that morning. She does not do well in a crowded house. Whenever there is an occasion like CNY, in this case a wedding where everyone gathers together in a house, Charlotte tends to act up. She hated the attention that people gave her. She does not want anyone to touch or look at her. She will just be crying for Mummy every few mins or whining over nothing...

All Turned Out Well :)

Today is the first time I brought Charlotte out alone and had 2 plans in a row. Something I never did before because I know Charlotte will be tired which means I will be tired. However as it was Ru's birthday and I had won 2 free tickets to a show, I decided to give it a try. We headed to Asia Grand for dim sum and I actually managed to eat properly. Charlotte ate well but most importantly, God Mummy Steffi managed to bribe her with a new toy and she was kept entertained. Loving her new toy. Happy Birthday Ru! Even though it looks like we are celebrating for Charlotte as well. And she even got new toys while you had no presents haha The crew for the day! After lunch, Charlotte fell asleep on her stroller while I took a walk to MBS. She had a good 40 mins nap which was enough for her to build up her energy. I won 2 tickets to Disney in Concert: A Dream Is A Wish. I was reluctant to bring Charlotte initially as I think she would not be able to sit through a concert. ...

Twinning!

Twinning is the in thing now for mothers and kids. While people twin with clothes, we twin with our hairstyles hahahha. Well it was just so timely that Charlotte woke up when I was about to finish getting my hair cut. Thus I got my parents to bring her down to my hairdresser to see if she is willing to get her hair cut. This is the first time she is getting a hair cut for her entire head. She only cut her fringe twice since birth. Surprisingly, she sat really still! All my worries were uncalled for. Luckily I did not waste $ at those salons specifically for children. Do we look alike now? hahah

Let's Scoot!

Presenting Charlotte's latest addiction.... Her new scooter from her God Mummy Penny! She wants to scoot all the time and whenever she sees a kid scooting, she will ask for hers. She is able to balance on it but navigating is still a problem. So she would get off and lift her scooter to the direction she would like to go. Getting an adult to move her around is also a good idea. This means a back breaking task for the adult though hahah. The task will usually go to Daddy or Gong Gong :) Hopefully she'll continue to enjoy the scooter because it is a very expensive scooter! If not for god mummy, her cheapo mummy won't be spending this amount of $ on a scooter for her.

T-Play at HOMETEAMNS Bukit Batok

Charlotte had a blast at the indoor playground at the Bukit Batok Home Team all thanks to Ah Gu! There was some bowling competition going on today and children were entertained in the playground area. It was our first time there and I was impressed by it too. If only the place is closer to home, we will be there all the time hah Daddy arrived in Sin this morning and joined us as well. When Charlotte saw the other children played dress up, she gamely joined in. She looks so pretty in this little Nonya outfit. A family shot for the event photo competition! Hopefully I win a prize heh
