Kim's Family Restaurant

I found a Korean restaurant that is definitely worth going back again! Introducing... The location is at Lor Kilat, along Upper Bukit Timah Road. I"ve always been along the stretch of Upper Bukit Timah Road for supper but have never actually turned into Lor Kilat. Glad that some of my colleagues are willing to venture all the way there just to try out this place. We all left feeling very satisfied. :) The 12 side dishes that came along with our meal. Some of the dishes we ordered: Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup, Potato Noodles, Kimchi Pancake & BBQ Pork (clockwise). I think the Ginseng Soup is a little different from the other korean restaurants that I've tried. The soup that I've tried are usually quite tasty. However the first taste of this soup was very bland but after eating the other dishes and tasting the soup again, the soup just got more tasty and addictive! The chicken is also very tender. Yum~~ After dinner, we decided to go for some dessert as there's anoth...
I've recovered from my aches at last! I'm now looking forward to my Europe trip in June :) London-Paris-Italy. We had a super long discussion on the itinerary on Sat and have finally came up with a rough plan. I'm super excited as I've been wanting to go to Europe ever since. To prepare for my Europe trip, I've invested in a better camera over the weekend. I must say I'm more broke than broke now. I better curb my spending for these 2 months. Canon Powershot S90 I'm looking though the manual now. This camera has some pretty cool functions. I can't wait to take more nice pics! *** Managed to get some pics from my friend's camera taken at Mt. Kinabalu. Enjoy! All of us getting ready to conquer the submit at 2am in the morning. Love this pic taken from Evan's Olympus cam. Nette & I trying to do the SMU jump hah. Failed badly coz we were damn scared we will roll all the way down the steep slope! I'm the one in white haha at least my legs wer...

Mt Kinabalu

I made it up Mt Kinabalu and I am back!(back with pain all over my body... haha) I thought I was never going to make it. I must say it was a tough hike up but I enjoyed the company thoroughly. I'm sure I won't have been able to make it up without them. I have interesting friends~ hah This trip also gave me many first time experiences. My first time... 1. Climbing a mountain At the base with the girls The macho guys haha 2. Not bathing for 1 day as there was no water up in the mountains due to the dry season. I must say it was pretty gross but I guessed we were too tired at that point of time. 3. Sleeping together with people who fart and snore. 4. Seeing how someone's eyes can light up sooo brightly and talk so excitedly at the thought of food. I think this will be the first and last time I'm there. It's too painful hah. Nonetheless, I think I have some pretty good pics. All of them looked like we're having so much fun. Signs of fatigue... The super high steps w...

Believe

I know my blog may not be a popular web page but more of a personal space for myself. Nonetheless, for the very few people who are still tuning in to this blog or who happen to stumble upon it, do help spread the word and show your support for local production here in Singapore: http://www.believethemusical.net/ This is one of the latest project of Alex Wang. A local musician in the local music scene. I've been to one of his concerts held in the Esplanade recital studio and I thought his songs were pretty catchy and he seemed really sincere about them. So if you are thinking of an activity for the weekend, you might want to consider "Believe". This musical is a return since its last show in 2007 and is held at the Republic Cultural Centre Theatre on 10th July, 2010. Tickets are ranging from $28-$58.

Drama Craze & BBQ at Kat's Place

My love hate relationships with Sunday can just go on forever. I'm sure many of you can understand how I feel. Just the thought of returning to work on Monday and the lost of freedom to wake up at anytime of the day, SUX hah. Oh and not forgetting, I can't indulge freely and dream of my Taiwanese dramas that I have been so addicted to recently. I am never able to finish watching the drama that I find in youtube at one go as I watched them too quickly. I watch the dramas even faster that it is uploaded heh. I am always left at the last episode!! I hate it. Most of the time the last episode is uploaded, I will have already lost interest in it. This happened for "Hi My Sweetheart" by Rainie Yang and Alan Luo. So I've moved on to my current addiction "Autumn Concerto" by Vanness Wu and Ady An. Forget about him in Meteor Garden. Seriously, he looks FAB in this show. With the short hair, I think he looks simply attractive! *Swoon* haha but maybe the reason is ...

Ootoya

I love Ootoya despite a few small grouses. The quality of food is good and comparable to the ones I had in Japan. Even the portions are the same - Big portions with lots of carbo. There is free refill of rice. Nonetheless, I love the cold udon and I am kinda craving for it now. However I feel that the queue is too long. I waited more than 1 hour for my turn and during the meal, I had to keep asking for tea refills before someone actually fills my tea. I read that the tea they served is known as genmaicha. It is actually green tea with brown rice. Nice~~ No wonder I feel that the tea tasted a bit different. Just didn't know wat's the diff. I might try again to go at a less peak time and see how it goes. My set - Cold Udon with mini grilled chicken rice set. The guys laughed at my Udon coz they looked lk they were sun bathing. According to Elf, Ootoya is really famous tt's y there is a queue. A starving der who was excited over the restaurant having free rice refill. However...
