Just a short update on a recent food place I went at Shaw Towers - Mouth@Work Boohoo... I am super disappointed! I came across pretty good reviews about it and was longing to try it but I was left disappointed. I won't want to go back again to dine but I would go just to dao bao their signature product... their Liu Sha Bao. Check out our distorted xiao long bao. 2 out of 3 bao's skin are already broken so the soup have all flowed out. Jumbo har gao. Well it taste decent despite being very oily. But it's deep fried so I guess you can't go too wrong with it. We ordered a bowl of steam pork rib rice too. The rice was too soft and the pork rib on top was miserable. Here I go again.. addicted to Taiwanese drama once again.... I realize I always go through a phase a couple of times in a year or 2 where I will get super addicted to some typical idol dramas. I'm really quick at watching a show as once I'm addicted to it, I'll do nothing in the weekend but lie on my bed for more than 12 hrs just to finish watching the show. And I will need to take another couple of days after I finish the show to slowly pull myself back to reality and to completely stop thinking about it. I think the longest addiction was back in my JC days when all my classmates were completely mesmerized by F4. Addiction gets worse when everyone around u are addicted and do nothing but discuss about the show and the guys all day long. Guess age is catching up. Discussions are close to nil these days. Dinner for Derrick's birthday was at Bistro One Zero Three . A small cosy restaurant tucked along Pasir Panjang Road. To be honest, if der didn't bring me there, I would never have bother going in even if i walked past it. It was a little different this year as der wanted to plan for his birthday instead of the other way round. Well, since I'm always the one introducing all the good food (even though he hardly appreciates food), it's high time he finds something! heh For starters, we ordered the escargots. They were big and plump :) I specially love the sauce the escargots were in - a thick creamy sauce with cheese on top. Dip the garlic bread into the sauce... awww HEAVENLY... u just can't stop eating. Der ate 2 despite being scared haha *Tip* for small eaters, the escargots comes with 2 garlic bread. Happy Birthday Darling!! It's Derrick's birthday today, 2nd October 2010. We had a dinner celebration together last night coz der is supposed to be preoccupied for the whole day today with a hen's night that has no concrete plan up till now. What kind of hen's party last for a whole day and does not involve any effort in planning at all?!? Furthermore, it is called Hen's night for a reason right? My face is swollen, I still have a bad cough and my nose is running... How many sickness can one have at a time? I think the worse issue is the rash on my face right now. I just went to the nearest clinic at my place (not covered under my co. medical scheme) and got scolded by the doc!! Bloody hell. Got scolded early in the morning by an old tai tai looking doctor. I think she's having monday blues and I happened to be the 2nd patient. She went about screaming how my previous doc was wrong in prescribing me tablets for skin problems and how I should not be putting anything on my face right now blah blah blah... So here I am at home once again, nursing my horrible looking pig like face. I have so many things going on this weekend... I cannot look UGLY!
I've been busy busy busy. Despite being under the weather for a couple of days, I've done a second flea market sale at Serangoon, Tai Hwan Gardens yesterday as the booth was free! A couple of stalls were set up for the mid autumn festival party held for the residents. Lanterns set up for the event My all time supporter heh Thanks Nesh and Kai fen for coming down too :) My very young but filled with purchasing power customer. I love kids when they shop with their parents heh. Since I started MelT, I've less sleep these days but I find that my time have been more fulfilling. It got me thinking whenever someone asked me if it is worth it to do something like this? I guess there are 2 aspects to consider. Money wise or satisfaction wise. To be honest, I did not start off MelT harbouring the thoughts that I would earn big bucks. It was more of a fun activity to spice up my routine life and of course not to lose any money. Thanks everyone for the well wishes! As I grow older, birthday celebrations are also getting quieter. This has been the trend in our group for this year. Gone are those days where we have to club and party all night long on birthdays. Nonetheless, I'm glad the circle of friends remain the same and friendship still last.
