Happy Birthday Darling!! It's Derrick's birthday today, 2nd October 2010.

We had a dinner celebration together last night coz der is supposed to be preoccupied for the whole day today with a hen's night that has no concrete plan up till now. What kind of hen's party last for a whole day and does not involve any effort in planning at all?!? Furthermore, it is called Hen's night for a reason right? Thought all these stuff happens at night and not for the whole day. Worse of all, Hen's night with 2 guys?!? wierd X 100. Anyway, I'll let him be and I can go ahead with my own plans! yippee hahah Will be having a lunch gathering at my god bro's place later. His baby is celebrating his 1 month old.

Just some updates for the week, my face recovered. Fortunately I didn't have to look horrible over the weekend. Attended Aaron's ROM on sat followed by the yearly Haowanna Night after the ROM.

Congrats Aaron & wife!

With the girls

With all the weddings and the many funny couples around me recently, it got me thinking more about relationships. I think the length of a relationship does not signify anything now a days.
I hear ppl saying: "becoz we've been together for so long...."
- I now know what I want when I find another girl. So it should not take long to get into a marriage with the next girl.
- I am too lazy to find another girl. She has already became part of my life. Y bother going through all the dating again?

- I know she is not the one, better don't ruin her life by getting into a marriage.

Well, I'm not sure how true are all the above statements I heard. But i still feel that marriage should be a happy thing and ppl DO want to get into a marriage out of their own free will and most importantly out of LOVE. I know of many happy and sweet couples out there :)
No one can be forced into a marriage and when you start thinking twice (not just referring to simply pre-marriage jitters), you are not ready and should not rush into it! Most importantly, giving a girl all the commitments and ditching all plans at the last min, is the worse thing a guy can do. A couple should never reach this stage....Please guys, don't do these to urself. Think before acting..

Back to something happier... 2010 Haowanna Night was fantastic! The food was so good but the timing was so wrong hahaha. Heavy BBQ filled with all kinds of meat at 12 midnight was crazy. Beef steak, lamb steak, chicken....I felt so sinful eating them.

The birthday peeps

The slackers who just sit around hah

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
