Back in Singapore

We are back in Singapore and the stay got extended longer than it was supposed to be. I am not complaining about it. In fact, I am trying to make full use of my time here and to expose baby Leow to as many things as possible. This trip back to Singapore, baby Leow attended her first wedding dinner. Congratulations to the newly wed, Nesh and Jacinta. She also made her first trip to the Singapore Zoo and I think she enjoyed herself. She was screaming excitedly and kicking her legs all the time. I was also surprised when she actually watched the sea lion performance. Her eyes were following the movement of the sea lion when it moved.  My parents were as excited as her to bring her out heh. I hope Charlotte doesn't become a spoilt brat as she grows up. She has been showered with so many gifts and love from everyone that we know. Even a short catch up with the girls got her showered with gifts! This lucky baby got herself 2 godma from this trip back to Singapore - Steffi a...

Turning 8 Months Old

Still driving me crazy most of the time... and I wonder if she understands what I say now. In any case, I must agree that time flies. I survived 8 months with her. She is super sticky to me and recently, she started saying "ma ma ma" whenever she is upset or does not see me. Charlotte is progressing to standing but still crawls with her stomach on the floor even though she can lift her tummy up. I enjoy bringing Charlotte outdoors, to let her be closer to nature but since she has eczema, I feel wary about her crawling on grass patches outdoor. I think it would be better if she is able to walk. I am afraid that crawling on the grass will aggravate her skin condition. Nonetheless, she had her share of fun at the petting farm on Father's Day with her other little friend Sienna who is constantly running around now hah. Auditioning for a slot in the Moscow Circus. This is Charlotte and PaPa's latest trick. We ended the day with dinner at a fantastic r...

Children Cafes

We have been visiting children cafes these days in Moscow and I really like the idea! Singapore should totally start something like this. At these places, parents get to eat while the children get entertained. Charlotte gets to play with a lot of toys, interact with other children and the best part, I don't have to pack up! However, I just realized that one of the cafe requires a fee for each child that plays at their play area. I feel a little cheated haha I think I will go to those that does not charge in future. I think Charlotte desparately wants to walk. She is always trying to reach out to some kid and the kid will run off after sometime, leaving poor Charlotte looking at the kid with forlorn eyes hah. Don't worry Charlotte! You'll be able to catch up with the big kids real soon! As for now, you just have to rely on us to carry you wherever you will like to go. Your dependable and trusty PaPa loves carrying you! Happy Father's Day!

Progressing on to Sitting Stably

Charlotte is starting to be able to enjoy play. She seems to be able to show emotions that she is enjoying herself at the playground. Her first swing ride was shared with her little friend, Sienna who is a couple of months older than her. As Charlotte was unable to sit stably, Sienna gave her a little support heh. As she progressed to being able to sit stably, she can now sit on the swing herself and she seemed really proud of it. Charlotte's outfit here looks like a kindergarten uniform.  And now, she can even make herself so comfortable on the swing, she sits like an ah pek haha Goodness! What kind of style is this??

Once in a Life Time

Not everyone gets a chance to meet the PM, let alone take a picture with him. Baby Charlotte managed to! at a tender age of 6 months. She has no clue about what was going on but I'll make it a point to tell her when she grows up next time. She was carried by a very important person and even got a peck on the cheek! This will be a picture that she will remember for life. The Prime Minister, Mr. Lee Hsien Long was in Moscow and the embassy held a meet the PM session. I was glad that I brought Charlotte for the event. Being the youngest Singaporean living in Moscow, it was her lucky day as the PM laid eyes on her. We even made it to the front page of the Straits Times because of Charlotte.

Baby Leow goes to Houston

I got another holiday! It was quite a tiring one but nonetheless fun. Traveling with the terror is never easy. I am still puzzled how people can post all the perfect pics of their babies together with their impeccable dressings from all the sponsors. The planning must be a headache. We wanted a holiday and Houston was one of the cheapest choices available during this period as we could use our free tickets and lodging was not ex. However, we realized the flight was a little too long for the little one. 12 hours of being confined in a small space. Worst of all, we boarded the flight at 9am, not exactly sleep time for her. It wasn't all peace and quiet but we managed. Flight entertainment and snacks helped. Watching Kung Fu Panda ahaha Charlotte suffered from jet lag on the first day. Thus we were out looking for breakfast at 6.30am in the morning. We had pancakes that were larger than our faces. Houston is all about outlet shopping and I would probably need an ext...

Parents in Moscow

Charlotte's grandparents are in Moscow and I thought she will be more well behaved since there are more people around to play with her. However, I think I can conclude that it must be Singapore that she is missing. She seems to be so much more well behaved in Singapore. I guess her skin is also one factor that is making her feel uncomfortable. The moment the plane flies over the Moscow continent, her cheeks get red. Her body too starts to breakout in rash after a few days. Bye to her baby smooth skin. Poor baby. These days, she can never stay still. Whenever she is awake, she will be screaming away or making crying noises every 5 seconds. She wants to stand up or be carried around but I cannot be out of sight. the only peaceful time for me is during her sleeping time. Charlotte hates being in taxi and restaurants. She will be constantly screaming away in theses 2 places. Why am I stuck in the car again? In a restaurant, I am always woofing down my food. I feel like a barbar...

First Art Piece

Charlotte's first art piece. Derrick was asking me if we should hang an art piece on this wall in our new home and it got me pondering. I thought Charlotte's little feet and hands are so cute now so we should do something with it. Google gave me a lot of ideas thus we were motivated by them and bought a canvas and some paint. Only after getting the materials that we realized we were too lazy to start. After about 1 month and trying to push each other to take the first step to do it, we finally did it! It was a little messy but it was easier than we thought. Guess starting with no expectations (actually I expected to just throw the canvas in the end) was probably a good choice.

5 Months Old

Baby Leow is 5 months old today. And she really looks like a big girl as compared to the days when she was born. I always forget that she is only 5 months old. Charlotte loves going out and always gets very excited whenever I take out the carrier. She loves to people watch and will always be so distracted that she does not even need to drink her milk when she is out. Charlotte has been spoilt by her grandparents and daddy. Thus she loves to be carried around. She hates it when the carrier is seated. Saturday breakfast with her friend Sienna.
