Playing Tourist

This weekend was all about re visiting places of interest in Moscow. Kind of playing tourist all over again before we leave for good. But technically, we are not locals. We visited the zoo on Sat and Gorky Park on Sun. Summer is going on full swing and it is hot outside.

Charlotte was so lazy the past 2 days. At the zoo, all she wanted to do was sit on the stroller and eat. Whenever I pointed out an animal to her, she would just take a look and that was all! She seemed to be just patronizing me by taking a look at the animals and repeating after me the animals I told her.
We did not manage to take any pics with any animals. All thanks to the uncooperative Charlotte. This was the closest I got to take a pic with an animal hahaha. But we did manage to see the white tiger and many other animals too.

Charlotte got lucky at the toy picking machine in the Zoo. She managed to get a toy out. I think someone probably thought they did not win anything and left without checking. Charlotte was so happy with her win, she just held on to her basketball the whole day.

On Sunday, we brought Charlotte to Gorky Park to scoot around but she only managed for a couple of mins before she became lazy again. I had to push her while she stood on the stroller.

It was a super sunny day. Perfect for an outing to the park. Russians love the sun so the park was packed with people. We got a nice shot overseeing the Moscow River.
There was some fair going on and I spotted a stall selling unicorn blend. I think it is the name of the coffee bean. I got excited and ordered a cup, hoping for a unicorn coloured latte. But all I got was colourful cubes which I thought was very pretty at first and I thought would dissolve to make my drink pretty. But nonetheless, the cubes were marshmallows that would not dissolve. Chey! hahahha Oh well, it still looked pretty in pics and the latte tasted like a good latte.
3 more weekends to go in Moscow...

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

Having the Chills

If you, Derrick is ever reading this, I would suggest you close this page. It's my right to type whatever I want. I won't mince my words because this is my space. I hardly feel unwell and this not the best time to fall sick. Yet I'm having the chills. Whenever my boob hurts, I will start to get the chills and a little temperature. It had to come at the time when i'm feeling totally not in the mood to do anything. I think I should swallow a few more pills. What I had isn't enough. Guess feeling down really brings down one's immune system. We just got news that we will be moving back to Singapore and the first thing that came to my mind is F*** I've to face her. That fake face (literally fake. No amount of make up helps la. old means old. draw what draw) who pretends she doesn't care or even when we talk face to face she says no no it's ok. PUI! Der will be unhappy reading this but i blame it on him for making the situation like this. No amount of ...

Bigger Issue

Now a bigger issue has risen for us to worry about. Due to unfortunate circumstances, LA seems to be going through an apocalypse. Everyone is told to stay at home. Schools, libraries, malls, everything is closed. No more dine in restaurants, only take out and delivery. Only shops that are open are mainly grocery stores and there are either limited food choices or there are queues to get in so as to ensure "social distancing". This "social distancing" is the in word now. I am not very sure about this term. But the distancing sux. It's so quiet everywhere, I feel like a zombie would appear in front of me any moment.  I just got news that even playgrounds will be closed starting tomorrow. How scary is that? Even though it has been scary going to the playground these days because we always end up being the only family there, at least the kids get to run a round a bit.  It is tough staying home with 2 kids. I feel frustrated and a bit lost. I don't want Ch...
