Back in Moscow, For The Last Time...

We are back in Moscow and this will be the last time I am saying this. We are going to be heading to Los Angeles next month for Der's new posting. Time to re adjust and start to find new stuff for Charlotte to do again. I think my first concern will be driving. US is a place where driving is the main way to getting around. Since I will be with Charlotte most of time, I would need to drive to be able to bring her around. Driving is not my forte. I have not driven in years. We will see how it goes. Guess I got to do what I got to do.

So this is our final month in Moscow. Charlotte sees Moscow as her home for now. She has been saying that she wants to go back to Moscow home when we were in Singapore. I have been telling her from time to time that we are going to a new home soon. I am sure she will forget this place in no time. She is still too young to remember. For now, she is happy to be back. I guess the weather plays an important part too. It is summer now and the weather is so good. It is sunny yet not so humid that we will perspire and feel icky like how we feel in Singapore hah.

Counting down to 4th Sep. The day we say good bye to Moscow Home (in Charlotte's words).

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
