Christmas Gatherings

Christmas came and went past very quickly. I would say it was good as long as it lasted.

Thanks to Mr. Evan Goh, the main organiser of all our gatherings, we had a Christmas gathering. I'm sure it wouldn't have been so successfuly without him. This year, we did not just had a gathering over dinner, we had gift exchanges as well! I'm really happy to be there as I have missed the past 2 gatherings due ot late nights at work.
Venue: P.S Cafe. That night was the first time we met Faith's fiance over dinner too.

Gift exchange!
Both guys got Tiffany ties for being Faith's best men :)

More pics :)
For the eve of Christmas eve, I had to work till 12am. Although I was tired, I was extremely surprised to find....
my parcel from Ewa & Thomas, sent to me all the way from Poland! (I hope you're reading this :) thanks guys, you really made my day after such a long day at work). I ripped opened the parcel immediately. I was very touched by them. Inside was a very sweet Christmas card, 2 packets of crystal jelly, a box of snowman candles and 3 boxes of tea called Melisa! I just tried the pear flavoures Melisa tea this morning. It's yummy and smells real fragant.

However, i was a little disappointed with this year's Christmas eve celebration with my friends because the eve of it wasn't as good as I wished it would be. I was initially looking forward to celebrating with my usual group of friends at Steffi's place but i ended up working till 830pm on Christmas eve. By that time, I was so tired and had no mood for anymore celebration. Nonetheless, I still went there totally not dressed for any party.

We had the usual Christmas spread prepared by dear Steffi's mummy. Yum~~(ok it didn't look lk tt when I arrived becoz everyone had their fill. But the food still tasted good)

Der and I was the last 2 to arrive...

Our Pressie

All of us

Fortunately for Christmas day itself, it wasn't that bad. At least I was totally re charged. It was the usual celebration again. Lunch was potluck at my grandma's place. I love the Christmas atmosphere there. Everyone was just soo happy on that day. The house was filled with laughter :)
My adorable cousins baked us cupcakes. Not only do they taste good, they look real pretty too!!

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
