Penning down my thoughts

Cheese said maybe I should pen my thoughts down. Actually, I did thought of it but i also hesistated about it. One thing about blogs, which to me is supose to be like an online diary... A diary is suppose to be somewhere u can write down personal stuff. However, everyone who knows my blog add is reading this entry. I feel wierd saying things that I do not want people to know about me but I also want an avenue to let things out. So.. this time, heck! People who read it.. please keep it to yourself k.. Sorry for letting u c this side of me too. I think the me that i portray is always the care free, forever happy mel.. but i'm sorry to disappoint, this's not always the case.

Well, we were just talking about jobs. Just a short short talk su min dear haha borrowing ur bf listening ear coz i was bored. I was saying how much i envy my friend for getting a job already. As my friend's working the European hours for operations, she commands a whopping 4k paycheck!! Tt's a huge pay check for me!

I noe i shldn't be looking at just money when it comes to looking for a job.. there's more to it. I know all these very very well and i've also heard this a million and 1 times now from all my friends. BUT! I'm sorrryyyy i can't dun look at the money when my friends r all so concious about it. I do feel pai sei if i get a 2.2k job while my friend is getting a 4k job. So on one hand, i'm pressured to find a job, i'm also pressured to find a high paying job. My dad thinks a job is a job what so pai sei abt a 2.2k? I noe it's my personal problem. I noe tt i'm super "ai mian zi" and yet i don't really have the ability to be so "ai mian zi". Actually i noe of my prob ever since i got into uni.. it kindda grew as the years pass. It's something that i shld work on but i can't!!!

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
