Almost There...

Baby's still sitting warmly in my tummy. Maybe it doesn't want to come out so early. He is afraid of who will come after the 1 month when my mum goes home hahah or more like I'm afraid. I'm still hoping everyday that the day doesn't come which I know I'm just deceiving myself. I still don't understand why Der would say that she really wants to come. All I heard gave me the vibe that she doesn't want to come.

I had a check yesterday and I'm 3cm dilated. I don't feel anything but I'm a little worried whenever I'm outside. I wonder what happens if my water bag breaks or something. I didn't experience it the previous time so I'm always wondering if it'll be as dramatic as it is shown on tv.

On the hindsight, my mum is here. Even though she gets on my nerves, at least I know that Charlotte will be well taken care of if I got to go to the hospital anytime. My mum is such a "clean" and kiam freak. She always has some comments about any food that is not on discount. Anything that is discounted/going to expire/other people doesn't like it, it will be the best to her. She also likes to hand wash stuff and clean and clean non stop. She gets bored when she has no household chores to do. She has no gadgets to entertain her. Not even a phone. So reading supermarket catalogs are her fav past time now.

We did not get down to doing any touristy stuff except for visiting the grove as we were near the area.
Since my mum does not appreciate anything touristy or good food or anything that requires spending $, we stick to her hobby of walking around supermarkets. Surveying supermarkets makes her happy hahah. We visited so many supermarkets over the weekend!

We also had yummy tacos over the weekend - Leo's Taco Truck. Great recommendation from my friend!
Since it was a food truck, there were no seats. We had a little picnic in the car and the girls were happy about it.
These 2 girls always look so cute together!

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
