3 More Weeks

It's already April! My edd is 23 April. Where did time fly to? I feel that time past so quickly for this pregnancy. Everyone I meet now will ask if I'm ready. Actually I am not. Not in terms of material items for the baby but more like mentally I am not ready. I am not ready to have another person in my life and have more people come into my life to disrupt the current situation. I am so mobile now and have my own free time in the day. I feel so in control of everything I do. With a baby, parents coming over etc. I'm going to be restricted. I am going to have to account for my actions. I don't like it. But there's nothing I can do about it. I just have to take things in my stride.

We did a last road trip this weekend and stayed in a beautiful airstream, thanks to a recommendation by my friend Nari. I have been hanging out with Charlotte's classmate's mum very often when she's in chinese school. I enjoy talking to her. The mum is a very nice Korean lady who is always introducing me nice places around LA.

The airstream will be the closest we get to staying inside a RV. It was a fun experience. I didn't expect it to be so beautiful inside. It also has a nice little area outside for us to BBQ.
It has a beautiful bed where Charlotte was so happy about.
A beautiful bathroom.
A nice little washing area.
We chose the location at Santa Barbara. It is the closest to us. About 1.5hours - 2 hours drive depending on traffic. The last time we were in Santa Barbara was for a yoga retreat. We did not manage to visit the area as we headed to Solvang after the retreat. This time, we went to Stearns Wharf Pier and downtown. We had dinner at the pier.
Took a nice stroll.
Tried uni with scallops. The uni spikes were still moving when we got the plate. I was surprised Charlotte loved it and wanted more.
After dinner, we headed to downtown to have the famous McConnell's ice cream. Charlotte can now finish an entire scoop by herself! She even refused to let us try some.
Now we just have to wait for the baby to arrive and ... I don't know what will happen next hahha

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
