Happy 3rd Birthday My Baby Girl!

3 years went by and Charlotte turned 3 years old. I wouldn't say time flew by. It was quite a torture bringing her up and it has only been 3 years hahhaa. My threshold for looking after kids is probably quite low. Of course there are fun times but I doubt I will ever forget the pain too. I still feel super irritated by her all the time up till today. I'm sure I will till the day I die hahha. I don't understand how parents can say they forget it. Maybe when I turn 50 years old hahha.

She had a mini celebration in school. They did a ritual where she walked around and showed photos of her from birth till date. She also brought some erasers as little gifts for all her school mates.
After school, she had her cake cutting at home. She was so happy and excited to see cakes.
Thereafter, we made a trip to Santa Monica Pier. We initially wanted to go to Disneyland but the traffic was too bad. Turned out, Santa Monica was a good idea too. At least we don't have to sit through a 2 hrs jam. We took the ferries wheel at the pier as a treat for Charlotte.
We have been to the pier a couple of times but just did not want to pay for the ride. We were always there with tourists and even they did not want to spend the money to sit the ferries wheel hah. It cost $10 per adult for one ride. Kids under 3 ride for free.
The weather was perfect that day and the sun set was beautiful. This deceiving girl always look deceptively sweet in pictures!
After the pier, the birthday girl got to choose what she wanted for dinner. We had her favourite thing in the whole world as of now, PASTA. It is the one thing that she will eat by herself and actually eat more than we always expect.
Charlotte had a good 24th October 2018. These days, she has been telling me that she wants another birthday again. Till the next year you monkey!

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

Pending Down My Thoughts for 2021

10.07pm, 31 Dec 2021.  The year 2021 is coming to an end. The year of Covid. The year we left LA and returned to Singapore for good. It has been 9 months since we got back but I still feel like it happened so recently. One of the Singaporean family we met in LA and hung out very often is in town to visit. Charlotte asked if we can return to LA together. She asked if we are really not going back anymore. We all miss LA a lot. Definitely much more than Moscow even though Moscow is a very memorable place too.  Spent the day at Sentosa, The Luge. Kiddos had a lot of fun despite the heat. I enjoyed myself a lot too and I am missing the times we hung out in LA. Thinking about them going back and us staying behind makes me a little sad. The kids still got along very well even though we have not met for sometime. Hopefully their friendship will remain as they continue to grow up. Recap of 2021 1. I realized I can bake.  2. I love making bread or trying to make food cute. 3....
