Halloween 2018

I'm very slow in blogging these days. There's no particular reasons. Just didn't have the feel to write anything. But looking back at some pictures, I think there are many events during these months that are worth remembering.

One of it was Halloween. It is our 2nd halloween in LA and it is also one of the Charlotte's favourite event here. I think it is because of all the candies she gets. She doesn't get to eat everything but she digs filling her bucket as full as possible. Her bucket always end up so full and heavy, I had to carry it for her.

Since she is in school this year, she also celebrated halloween in school. They had a halloween parade and it was very cute to see all the kids in their costume. Charlotte wore the same outfit as last year - Snow White.

Halloween is a big thing here in the US. There are many events going on for halloween during the month of October. We attended the Halloween Spooktacular event held at our neighbourhood too. Charlotte dressed up as a fairy for the event.
They had a lot of activities for kids. From face painting to arts and craft, bouncy castles and so forth.
Unlike other kids, no scary decorations can scare Charlotte. She even went through a dark haunted house. Like I always say, the scariest person on earth is herself hah.
On the actual day of Halloween, we went back to the same place as last year. We headed to El Segundo to meet Der's friend who has 2 bigger girls, Jocelyn and Katelyn. They went trick or treat together.
Even Der dressed up too as Top Gun
Most of houses in the area put in a lot of effort to decorate their place.
That day was a good ending to Halloween. We could be here for another Halloween next year. Maybe I should dress up then. By then, I would have 2 kids to dress up!

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

Having the Chills

If you, Derrick is ever reading this, I would suggest you close this page. It's my right to type whatever I want. I won't mince my words because this is my space. I hardly feel unwell and this not the best time to fall sick. Yet I'm having the chills. Whenever my boob hurts, I will start to get the chills and a little temperature. It had to come at the time when i'm feeling totally not in the mood to do anything. I think I should swallow a few more pills. What I had isn't enough. Guess feeling down really brings down one's immune system. We just got news that we will be moving back to Singapore and the first thing that came to my mind is F*** I've to face her. That fake face (literally fake. No amount of make up helps la. old means old. draw what draw) who pretends she doesn't care or even when we talk face to face she says no no it's ok. PUI! Der will be unhappy reading this but i blame it on him for making the situation like this. No amount of ...
