Our First Pumpkin Patch!

I was pretty excited about visiting a pumpkin patch especially after seeing all the media influencers on instagram bringing their kids to one. So over the weekend, we visited our first pumpkin patch at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch. I chose somewhere that was nearest to our place as Charlotte still does not do well in cars.

We had no idea what to expect but I got Charlotte all excited when I told her that she will get to go on a pony ride and get her face painted. Upon arriving, I already liked what I see! Pumpkins everywhere! How cool was that? Oh and I get to pick any pumpkin that was lying around :) I just got very pumped up at the idea. It might be something families in LA see every year but this was my first time.

Charlotte too loved the idea of hay everywhere!
We also managed to get ourselves a wagon to transport the kiddo around.
Actually, it wasn't easy pulling it around.
Face painting was first on our list. Even though there was a queue, Charlotte waited patiently for her turn.

Then after was the long awaited pony ride. Initially, I was a little apprehensive as she got to ride it herself and I would not even be able to walk along side her. But my fear was uncalled for. She gamely allowed the lady to carry her to the pony and belted her. She totally enjoyed the ride!

We also petted some animals

The only down side was the killer weather. It was so hot, I felt like I was being roasted. We had to go under the shade whenever possible. We found a small tent with only a rope as a swing but yet it kept Charlotte entertained hah.

To end our visit, all of us each chose a pumpkin :)

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
