Here in Los Angeles, LA

After a long 20 hours flight, with 1 transit in Narita airport, we finally arrived in LA. The flight was seriously too long especially when travelling with a toddler in the economy class. My butt started to ache during the second half of the flight. Charlotte was lying on my lap and my movement was restricted.

I also totally underestimated the memory of a 2 year old toddler. The moment Charlotte got on to the plane, she requested for me to make her seat into a bed. So she actually remembered her experience in business class from the previous trip. I was surprised but had to tell her apologetically that this seat was not able to do so. She whined a little then asked for a cup of orange juice (sound like a total spoiled brat).

In any case, we survived the flight. But now, the jet lag is the next torturing part. Charlotte is experiencing a horrible jet lag. She woke up at 2am and only went to bed at 8.30am. So she's still sleeping now at 3pm in the afternoon. I foresee another sleepless night for me. Shouldn't kids get over jet lag faster than adults? I think I'm over it due to the little sleep I have. I think I can just concuss the night away now.

Our first night in LA was spent in the nearest supermarket. Charlotte loved the trolleys there hah. Cheap thrill. Guess it will be another night out for us again due to Charlotte's current sleeping routine.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
