Happy 1st Birthday Charlotte Baby!

Charlotte turns one! Happy Birthday my baby girl!

It was not easy planning a birthday party for a little girl especially when we are overseas. There is so much to do and if it wasn't for daddy, there will not be a party at all. I think Derrick really made full use of his 24 hours when we were back in Singapore to make sure that the party can take place. He has to take care of everything by himself. I am so amazed by how he can do so many things in a day.

I guessed the party turned out pretty well. There was just the right amount of food and the place wasn't as cramped as I thought it would be too. I was very surprised that about 80 people can squeeze into the tiny but empty HDB of ours. It was a pity that the birthday girl was so overwhelmed by the crowd that day though. She was so overwhelmed that she was as clingy as a koala. I had to carry her everywhere and definitely cannot be out of her sight. Thus, it wasn't easy taking her photos that day especially photos of her looking at the camera.

Charlotte's sweet and pretty birthday cake was from Bloomsburybakers and it was a birthday present from her godmama Steffi. Since she is into all things round like balls and balloons, we decided on a balloon as a cake topper. The cake tasted as good as it looked. The top tier was red velvet and the bottom tier was speculoos. Charlotte sure enjoyed her cake.

We managed a few pics before Charlotte went all cranky.

The birthday girl only started to be her happier self after most people left the party and after she changed into her pj.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
