26th Week

I'm on my 26th week today. My tummy is getting bigger and itchier as the weeks pass. I've been slathering a lot of moisturizer on it to make it less itchy. This weekend had been a great one. We managed to check out a new restaurant called "Twins" with a relaxing porch and also had a day trip out of Moscow city for a BBQ.

The day trip was a trip to База отдыха “Троицкое ”- http://www.vtroickoe.ru/. This place is called a recreational center where there are chalets, BBQ pits, a mini zoo, an area where one can play all kinds of water sports etc. Majority of the Singaporeans made it for this trip. For those that did not go were either uninvited or i dislike anyway hahah. So the group turnout was GREAT! We set off at 9am and took a 1 hr drive to the area. We had sooooo much meat for the BBQ, we even had leftovers to be continued for next week (another exciting weekend ;)).

After the first round of BBQ, we went to check out the mini zoo. We brought some leftover peppers and potatoes to feed the animals even though we googled that they were not supposed to be eating these vegetables haha. However, considering the condition and food that I saw the Moscow zoo animals eating, I supposed the animals in Russia are probably different. They are able to stomach all kinds of junk even though they can be poisonous or harmful to them.

Check out the huge camel behind us.
Even though the water was very cold yesterday, Derrick and Jon decided to get into the water. There was an inflatable slide by the water. For just 200 Rub, one can play on it for the whole day. Der the clown slipped and fell full body into the water the moment he tried to put his foot in to check out the temperature. So... must as well get in the icy water hahaha

The ladies on the other hand sat on a picnic mat to enjoy the cool weather and chit chat about everything under the sun. We were also fussing over baby Sienna at one point in time as we thought she pooped herself. Baby Sienna was wearing the romper of my favourite book when I was a kid - The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carl.
After the activities, we had a final round of BBQ for dinner before heading back to Moscow city. It was such an enjoyable day and everyone enjoyed ourselves. :) Yeah!!!

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO!
