Rest Time...

Enough of walking for the day! Time to rest those legs and get ready for the "big" day tomorrow! hahah. Both Lisa and Der are taking the Standchart run so seriously, I can't help but laugh. We hardly train for this run and it is der and my first time running a half marathon. What a joke. I hope I can complete it. I'm going to take it slow and not set any expectations. Wish us luck! The start point is at Sentosa and it starts at 630am!

Speaking about Sentosa, there is a $5 admission ticket to Universal Studios every Fri-Sun where we can get to walk around restricted areas of Universal Studios from 7-930pm and view the fire works at 9pm. Paid a visit there last week with the girls and I thought it was pretty cool as it was my first time inside the Singapore Universal Studios.

We first had dinner at RWS's Hard Rock Cafe. The portions were huge! Having 1 main each was way too much for us.

Oh check out my cute seahorse from Osaka Aquarium :) Thanks Ru!

Anyway, I love the atmosphere of Universal Studio. It just lifts my mood and I feel so happy walking around that place. The atmosphere was exactly the same as the time when I was in Universal Studio Florida. These places can really make me forget reality for a moment.

Have I mentioned that I really love popcorns? I think i'm one of the very few ppl who can finish the entire box of pop corn in the cinema? hah

Madagascar! Fiona's legs are as skinny as the giraffe's legs man. Jealous!!

The famous hotel that always appears in shows

Der just had to take this... hahah

However, I was very disappointed with the fireworks! I personally thought it was quite bad. The fireworks seem to be lost in all the smoke that it produced. I always manage to take at least some nice shots during National Day so it can't be my photo taking skills heh.

Alrighty, time to go to bed! Night everyone :)

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
