BKK

We have a plan after this BKK trip ;) The plan is yet to be confirmed as it is in the midst of planning. Woohoo ~ This is the only thing that keeps me excited right now. The days are getting hard to pass. Where R U?? I neeeeed to find u soon....

Back to Bkk... *Traveling Tip* Those we intend to go to BKK , there is a free train to bring people to the city center on weekdays. I took the train to Baiyoke sky area.

Tt's me and Steff on the train.

Our Hotel - Budacco
Our hotel was a little hard to locate at first. But once found, it is the most convenient place ever! haha. Just 1 straight road down to Platinum mall. 10 mins walk through the wholesale place. Furthermore, the place is clean and chic. I love the colour theme they used for different rooms.

Stef & Jef's room has the pink theme.

Der and my room has the yellow theme

First thing we did after checking into our hotel was to look for Am's grass jelly stall at Platinum Mall. Very goooood~ Unlike the stalls on the street, her cup of drink doesn't have so much crushed ice that you can't eat the jelly.

First night dinner was at a BBQ buffet place called KingKong. The beef is superbbbbbb

We waited almost an hour to get in.

Thanks Am and her friend KiKi!

Day 2 was mainly for the weekend market - Chatuchat. At least there are more stuff for the guys over there. We also made a stop to look at all the cute animals.

Our dog lover Stef looks so happy when she sees a dog heh

A cool shop.

Dinner on the 2nd night @ Secret Garden was fusion Thai food. Beautiful place. The decor was so pretty! The wallpaper is filled with pastel coloured birds.

Not forgetting... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUM!!

The famous Crepe Cake was fantastic. The raspberry sauce complemented it perfectly. Not too sweet and the cream was not overpowering that it makes one sick.

Day 3 was completed with FUJI! hahaah For ppl who kept laughing at us for having Jap food at BKK, stop it!! Fuji is a must try. It's an affordable and decent place for Jap food. I never fail to miss it when I go to BKK. Even der had a craving for it! (ok maybe he's faking the craving. He never has any craving for Jap food. The only craving he has is for roti prata!)

Bkk for us for the 3 days was pure shopping! hahah We had a lot of good food too thanks to Am and friends! THanks girls and guys!! All of you made my trip to Bangkok great!

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
