Hot

The weather has been getting quite unbearable these days especially in the afternoons. It makes going out with a baby very difficult. As much as we would like Mason to get some sun, it is not ideal for a baby to be under the direct scorching sun for too long.

We visited a farmer's market one weekend. Even though we enjoyed sampling all the fruits, we had to seek shelter in a shop to cool down after a while. Charlotte was complaining about perspiring and Mason's face was all red too.

We did managed to buy some really delicious peaches for the week though as they are in season now and oh soooo sweet!
For another weekend, we bravely attended an outdoor event. The Sesame Street Road trip. Their final stop is here in LA and we managed to snag some tickets.

But boy was it hot. Strollers were not allowed in the event area. So we had to carry Mason and unfortunately Mason hates being carried for a long time. He detest the carrier. Totally unlike Charlotte who loves the carrier and just wants me to carry her all day long. Thus i ended up letting him lie on the ground haha. Poor boy. He looked really hot.
Despite the heat, Charlotte had fun because she had her friend Ruiying to play with her. Both of them were cutely decked in Sesame Street outfits for the event.

As I gladly hid under the shade with Mason, poor daddy had to be under the sun with Charlotte all the time.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
