Our First Family Yoga Retreat...

was a success! It was a 4D3N retreat. I didn't know what to expect but it turned out to be a pretty chill and fun weekend especially for Charlotte. I think she really enjoyed herself. She even told me that she misses her friends when we were packing to leave the place.

We did not managed a full group picture but this was majority of the people that gave us a good weekend :)
Upon checking in our cabin, Charlotte immediately got excited in seeing a loft inside the cabin. She was just climbing up and down non stop.
Day 2 started off with Yoga in the morning for the adults while the kids had their own activities like arts and craft and scavenger hunt. Derrick finally got to stretch his super stiff body. It was quite funny looking at him haha.
I was glad that Charlotte got comfortable with the group real quick and had no problem hanging out the kids by herself. Her favourite friend was Aven. She was like a sweet big sister to her throughout the entire retreat.
We also had a wine tasting afternoon with the kids just running around. Charlotte had her share of cheese, crackers and grape buffet hah.
Day 3's highlight was the llama hike.
Lazy Charlotte managed to walk quite a bit considering she always asked to be carried. We managed to feed some goats and llamas.
The llamas were all roaming around freely in a huge pasture. I think most people just chose the one that was the nearest to us haha. This llama was also smart to be near the crowd. I bet it ate the most! Everyone was just trying to stuff it's face with grass.
Attempting a yoga pose hahah
The day ended with a huge bbq dinner and chilling by the fireplace, roasting more marshmallows.
The lsat day ended with more yoga. This time, it was family yoga.
As the adults started to pack up to leave, the kids all hurdled under the table at the communal area to share a snack. It just made my heart goes awwwww when I saw this scene. It makes me think about how easily kids can make friends and bond over such a short period of time. But of course forget they forget their friends easily as well hahaha especially in the case of Charlotte. I had to constantly remind her with pictures.
Till the next exciting experience!

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
