Routine

These days, Charlotte has quite a fixed routine from Mon - Thurs and I'm pretty happy about that. Her regular English preschool will only start in the new term in Sep. So she is currently attending a Chinese preschool which is purely in Chinese. I'm happy that she has something to keep her occupied. She goes to school every Mon, Wed and Thurs. In the afternoons, she will go for all her so called "favourite" classes like ballet, yoga etc. She mentioned that Chinese is not her favourite hahaha oh well.. too bad...

I think she likes all the other extra classes because it allows her to jump around freely and there is not much brain power needed in these classes hah.

Charlotte at Yoga. The teacher, Megan, is really awesome though. I don't think I know any teacher that is so sincere and good with children before.
Tues are also her free day where she gets to go for ballet in the morning followed by story time in the library and lastly a short kids activity at the mall. She got to hold a snake today. I was surprised when she insisted on going up front to hold the snake! She held her hand real high to get picked to go up.
This routine is about to get disrupted again when we return to Sin at the end of the month. On one hand, it's good to head back to familiar grounds. On the other, it is really pain to go through the flight and the jet lag both in Sin as well as when we return. Guess we got to do what we got to do.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
