Sleepy Head

It is 12pm and the little terror is still sleeping! This is a first. She never sleeps till so late before. I find myself checking on her more often when she is this quiet. The poor terror is having eczema. The weather here is too dry for her and the water is probably one of the causes too. She has eczema patches all over her face and limbs. It gets worse whenever she starts to cry. I think the patches are probably itchy so she's constantly rubbing her face and I am constantly grabbing her hands even when we are sleeping at night. No matter how often I cut her nails, they are still so sharp. So the constant rubbing will lead to scratches on her face. She looks like a pirate now with a long scratch across her nose. Poor baby.. babies are supposed to have smooth skin.

We are heading back to Singapore this Friday for Chinese New Year. Hopefully her eczema will recover when we are back in Singapore.

My sleepy little cow
The only toy that can distract her at the current moment. This bear sings Russian folk songs that sounds like opera to me. It is a gift from Der's colleague.
Trying desperately to be mobile. Charlotte hates being on her tummy. She prefers to be standing up right. She always cries whenever I put her on her tummy.
Finally a selfie with her smiling. She is a grouchy baby who is very stingy with her smiles.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
