39th Week

Everyone is anxious and waiting! I have been receiving texts everyday asking me if today's the day. I am nervous and waiting for the slightest symptoms everyday too!

We just had a checkup yesterday and I am 2cm dilated. According to the gynae, the baby should be due anytime within the week. However due to unforeseen circumstances, Derrick is supposed to go back to Moscow for 3 days on the 27th-30th October. It is preferable that daddy is able to spend at least a few days with baby when she's out. It doesn't seem very nice if baby is to be out on 25th and daddy needs to fly off on 26th night :( So our gynae suggested that I do a social induction on Fri so that the baby has some time with the daddy. A social induction takes about 12 hours. Currently I am scheduled to admit on Fri but of course we can still cancel it anytime. hmm.. we are still pondering over this. Derrick thinks we should just wait it out and let nature takes its course. Anyway it is not like I am overdue yet. So I am praying that I get symptoms to go into labour today or tmr! The worse case scenario, Derrick will tell his boss that he is not able to go back as I am in labour!

Me at 39 weeks.. Surprisingly I've become slightly lighter and my baby weight shot up! She's 3.2kg now.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
