Happy 30th Birthday to me!!!
I cannot imagine how I have reached 30 years old. I still feel like it was yesterday that I was dressed in my school uniform, asking my grandma to bring books to me whenever I forgot to put it in my bag, feeling so tortured having to study all the time for exams (exams were never my thing), looking for my first job and the list goes on. I guess I am having this moment in the movies where the actress will experience a time freeze, the colour on the screen will now change to this olden time colour and flash back of the memories start reenacting beside her when she turns her head to the right. Woohooo too much movies~~~ haha

Looking at my current self, I think I am very happy and satisfied with my life. I do not need to work (at least temporarily, something I have to keep reminding myself), I get to travel, I have practically nothing to worry about (except my constant battle with bad skin which I have no idea why I kept breaking out) and of course the main reason why I can enjoy all the above mentioned and many more is because of my great husband who is slogging everyday to give me this life. I hate to admit it (which makes me appear so lazy) but I would not have all these if not for him. What more can I expect (Better skin please!) ? At least for now hah...

I am glad we were about to make it back to Singapore on my birthday month. I got to celebrate with my beloved friends and family. It is always good to be surrounded by people I am comfortable with once again. It was a good timing for us to return Singapore too as we had to make use of our hotel stay that was expiring soon. Since it was my bday month, Derrick thought it was a good idea for us to have a staycation. (It is almost 1 year since our wedding at W hotel). After checking in, we headed to Sabio by the Sea for an early dinner and strolled around. This was something we did not had a chance to do the last time we stayed at W.
I am thankful to derrick for arranging the surprise gathering and of course to all my friends who made the effort to come all the way to W hotel to surprise me! I did not expect everyone to turn up. The feeling was so warm and fuzzy... I love group gatherings and I really meant the whole group. It is something hard to come by. Yipeeeee.. we are forever young :)
With the girls + a little extra addition to the family :)
My pressie and a lovely handmade card
The boys
Cupcakes!
I was so happy that everyone could make it. Thank you once again everyone! I am looking forward to hanging out with everyone again.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
