I've made the decision

I have made the decision to resign and move with Derrick to his next posting. Derrick's stint at Cairo has ended after 9 months and he's moving to Moscow, the capital city of Russia, on Wednesday. I guess it is time for me to really experience what is the real marriage life and what it really means by living together.  I am pretty excited about the move but I also pray that we will not get sick of each other or find each other unbearable to live with.

I have yet to be told when is my official last day at work as my co. is still looking for my replacement. I have sounded them out that it would be sometime around the end of March/beginning of April. In the meantime, Derrick has been really sweet in accommodating to my fantasy of traveling in style together where everything got to be matching hah. I've chosen a range of beautiful pastel looking luggage. They are no where near professional for him but I love them! hahah Every time I look at them, I just feel like I'm on a holiday :)

The peach coloured one was the one I was eyeing initially. But all the colours were so attractive, I could not decide which to get when it comes to actually choosing 1. In the end, Derrick decided to indulge me and got all 3!! yippee hahah He finally gave in to my idea of a couple luggage hah. I'll look like I'm going for a beach holiday all the time :)

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
