Sharm El Sheikh

I am back in Singapore... and I've to start work tomorrow! Back to reality... hahah
But it's ok! I'll work hard for 1 month and in the midst of it, I'll start to plan for my Honeymoon in Nov :)

The highlight of my Egypt trip, is a trip to Sharm El Sheikh - An area on the coastal strip along the Red Sea. A 45mins flight from Cairo. Flying across the Red Sea.
Welcome to Stella Di Mare, the resort where I stayed for 2 nights. This pic was taken at 6.30am... all bright and sunny.

I love the view from this rock... The moment I walked through, I was like woww...
The service at the beach or pool area was fantastic. There were always staff walking around, giving me water, spraying rose water on me to cool me down and even staff walking around with slices of honeydew for guest lying around.
We also did a half day snorkeling trip at Tiran island and it is nothing like the snorkeling I did in Krabi or Phuket. I saw sooooo many fishes that I saw in SEA Aquarium in Singapore. I can't remember the names of the fishes besides Nemo haha. Well, I thought this is only possible if I dived. But nope.. I merely snorkeled. A pity I did not have an underwater camera.
Just a short video for you guys to experience it better :)

The other tourist spot is Nama Bay, the supposedly most happening stretch at Sharm El Sheikh. A place for shopping, clubbing and just to chill out. This place host one of the world's most happening clubs like Pacha and Space. A pity, there wasn't much tourist at this time and everywhere was closed. As usual, I practically had the whole place to myself. It wasn't exactly the best thing as all the shop owners kept calling out to us to check out their shops. It was pretty intimidating.
There are may more places one can visit from Sharm El Sheikh. I wish to return another time for road trips to discover many small towns around the area.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
