Live from Cairo!

I'm blogging live from Cairo at this moment. It's 11.02 am here and Derrick is working today.
I've went to the gym, ate some cereal for breakfast and here I am sitting in front of the TV watching NAT GEO Adventure and blogging at the same time hah.

Managed to do some common touristy stuff so far..like paying a visit to the Pyramids! I must say the view was majestic.

I was quite disappointed when I went inside the pyramids though. I paid like about SGD15 to waddle down into the pyramids (my thigh muscles ached after this)..
All I c.. nothing! Just a hole with an empty tomb and I've to crawl out the same way again.
Well at least I rode a camel. So I can say i've been there done that.
The weather was surprisingly good that day. Even though it was sunny, it was windy too! It helped cool us down quite a bit. Also, due to the less favourable political conditions in Egypt, there was practically no tourist! I had the whole pyramid to myself. It was an experience to not only ride a camel, I got to ride a jeep! My first time. This is our guide Omar and Derrick with the cool jeep.
More pics coming up... maybe tomorrow! :)

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
