Korea - Gyeongju

I have been back from Korea for about 2 weeks and everyone has been asking me how was the trip. Well it is always good to go on a holiday as I love traveling. However I think Korea as a country disappointed me a little. I had high expectations about it after all the Korea craze that Singaporeans are going through. I think 1/3 people you meet have been to Korea or are planning to go to Korea soon. (I also think that I was partially prejudice because of someone hah)

Besides cheap make up, I think clothes shopping are not cheap! (Fiona said I went to the atas area thus the high price I see) However as I went during Spring, I was glad to have a chance to see the Cherry Blossoms! It was my first time and I love it. I am happy that we took a day trip to Gyeongju, a ciy with many historical sites. This is definitely a place you should go to see parks filled with Cherry Blossoms. Definitely different from the ones we see in the bigger cities like Seoul.

We chanced upon this field of flowers as well. Beautiful huh?

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

Cinque Terre

For this Italy trip, we covered the areas we have yet to cover in our previous Europe trip. Also, being in Moscow made flying over cheaper and much faster. There is a direct flight on S7 to Verona and we travelled to the other parts like Florence and Cinque Terre by the trains. The main point of this trip is to visit Cinque Terre as I have heard amazing reviews on the place from my friends. It sure did not disappoint us. We were awe struck upon entering our room. I couldn't stop taking pictures from the balcony even when the guy was telling us about the room. Cinque Terre is located along the coast of the Italian Riviera. Cinque means 5 in Italian. Thus there are 5 villages in Cinque Terre - Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. We chose to stay at Riomaggiore and we loved it! This place is not easily accessible by car so the train is the most convenient mode of transport. Fortunately at Riomaggiore, there is a lift to bring people up to the top. Upon...
