The Proposal

Dinner on a sat night ended with this... :)

Got a little suspicious when he said we shld have a nice dinner on a sat night but... Since I have always love to try out new restaurants, I didn't give it much thought. So off we went for dinner at Nectar at Wangz Hotel. Suspicion was aroused again when he carried an Ipad out of the car. Since when did he had an Ipad?!? He said he wanted to show me something funny.

The place was a quiet little restaurant with only 2 other tables filled. The ambiance was good.
Starters - Scallops and Asparagus wrapped in bacon.

Soup - Cream of mushrooms and lobster bisque.

Main - Wagyu and Beef tenderloin. The dessert was a tad disappointing as my molten lava cake didn't have an chocolate flowing out and the vanilla ice cream didn't taste like vanilla at all.

Overall the meal was great and I was so full! I must compliment the hotel staff that served us. He was so attentive and constantly came over to ask if we want to take a pic. So why not? haha

After dinner, he spoke about the amazing lounge the hotel has at the roof and asked if we will like to go up for a tour. Once again my reply was y not? So he ushered us up to the roof top lounge. It was a chill setting and the view was not bad.

We ordered a glass each. The mood was definitely chill.

After a while, der asked if we shld go soon and I was like yeah sure.. it's getting late anyway. And he asked if I want to see something funny on the Ipad. I said nonchalantly "show me" hahah. He showed me a photo montage of ours pics! It was so sweeet. All the past memories came back. All the happy times. The wonders of photos :) And he whispered "R u scared?"

All of a sudden, he stood up and went on to this stage after the singer finished singing. Ok i didn't take any pics coz i was a little stunned. Oh by the way, his face was so red and he told me after the whole thing that the bartender gave him a shot of tequila to calm his nerves hahahah

He made a speech, came up to me, kneel down. Oh my I was embarrassed. I faster said yes and put out my hand. The people in the lounge was cheering and taking pics of me like we were friends haha. This is about the whole story of the proposal.

I took this pic on the way to the car park hahah

Thank you everyone for the well wishes! :) :) :)

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO!
