Congratulations Malcom on the opening of your new restaurant:

Brought my dear friends to try out the food at Malcom's newly opened restaurant and we must say that each dish tasted fantastic! Nonetheless, the portion were a little too small for 5 hungry girls haha. So some of you out there might find the place a little pricey. Each dish range between $10-$15 on average. But fret not, feedback has been given and I'm sure the place will only get better in due time.
Kueh Pai Tee

Chap Chay, Ayam Buah Keluak, Fried Chicken

I heard that the desserts were the best of everything only after I left the place! I'll definitely be going back again to try some.

After dinner, we decided to hang out at Hotel 1929 to chill and have some desserts. Once again, it was another place with "fine dining" portions!! hah
The best came first. Frozen Nougat. The taste was amazing. And I love the lychee sorbet. It is not those sour ones you get outside.

Lava cake

Banana tart with lavender ice cream. I know the below pic looks gross. Though it was a little disappointing, the taste was not as bad as it looked.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
