Happy Birthday Ru!!

As promised, here are some of the pics taken on my dear friend, You Ru's birthday :)

The crowd for the night...

We had the ala carte buffet dinner at Noble House, UIC Building. And the verdict... The food is alright, nothing fantastic and the service SUXXXX. Worse of all, we were there on a quiet weekday and the place is only half filled.

Eg 1: When we arrived that day, we were ushered to our table where we sat there for a whole 20 mins and no one came to pass us the menu. So we decided to ask for it. We had to grab their attention for another 10 mins and when we were given the menu, it was the wrong menu! It wasn't for the buffet.
Eg 2: As it was a buffet, we ordered a couple of rounds. But for each round, only the same dishes came!! Dishes like the scallops never came! After the 3rd round, we had to mentioned that we ordered it a couple of times before a small finally dish came.

Complaints aside, we had fun meeting up and taking lotsss of pics. Ru looked gorgeous and we were all so mesmerized that we couldn't stop snapping pics with her :)

Me and the Birthday girl

Fiona couldn't resist Ru's beauty, she had to propose to her..

The huge Patrick. Everyone loved him ;)

All my beautiful girl friends. However i think Patrick is snatching all the attention hah.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
