Stay Home

This virus issue seems to be getting out of hand and based on news we heard, it has not reached its peak yet. When we came back from Singapore on our last trip, Asia was all about the virus. People in Singapore were starting to be cautious, wearing a mask and so forth. But upon arriving back here, everything was as per normal. I don't see any airport staff wearing a mask. It seems like they are oblivious to it. All of a sudden, things just went crazy. I think they took things for granted and thought that it is a virus that will not hit them? Even Italy, such a small country, got hit so badly.

Asia as compared, seems to be handling the situation so much better and things are not as bad there. Even though there are more cases in Singapore now, I think Singapore handled the situation well. At least people's lives are still going on much more normally as compared to here.

The dates for staying home just keeps being pushed back. Reading the news everyday about how the virus is spreading and how the no. of deaths just keeps climbing seems so unreal to me. It's like a war that we are going through. But not the physical inhuman kind of war like the world war.

What is happening to the world???

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International
