In 2018, we also did a road trip to San Diego with another Singaporean family. We are fortunate to meet good friends that we can get along with and has a daughter that is almost the same age as Charlotte. They get along very well too. I am even more fortunate to be pregnant at the same time as my friend and our due dates are just a few weeks apart! We are both having boys too! How coincidental is that? With so many similarities and of course their easy going nature, it makes traveling together so much more at ease.
We stayed in an air bnb for this trip thus the girls got to spent a lot of time together.
1. The Zoo
We took the tram and cable car around the zoo as it was part of our tickets. Usually we have to pay extra and always walked around instead.
The animals were all pretty active. So we caught glimpse of quite a lot of animals.
2. SeaWorld
I love the beluga whales and Orcas best. Their sheer size and the look of the texture of their body, gives me the urge to touch them.
Waiting for the Orca show to begin.
We also caught the dolphin show.
There was an Elmo world in SeaWorld with a playground and even a couple of kiddy rides that the girls could go on by themselves.
3. The New Children's Museum. This place turned out to be a hit with Charlotte. She loved the place so much, she even asked to returned when we are back in LA. It's a 3 storey museum dedicated to kids.
Everything is interactive. They can touch anything and climb anything they see. There is also an an outdoor area dedicated to clay making.
We ended the museum trip with more play at the playground outside of the museum.
2 pregnant mamas
We allocated more than enough time for each attraction. 1 each day. It may seem like a long trip for just San Diego but I think it was good that we took things slow. At least the kids could enjoy themselves and not be rushed.
On the way back, we made 2 stops. One at Laguna beach. It was highly recommended by a friend so I had to take a look for myself. It was indeed a beautiful beach.

The final stop was a stop at the mall for a ferries wheel ride to end the day!

We are heading to San Diego again this Friday. This time, to Legoland! We booked the theme hotel for this stay. The princess hotel. I am probably even more excited than Charlotte as I love theme hotels. I think we managed to snag a pretty good deal on the cyber Monday sale. Hope it does not disappoint!
