Back and Back Again

We went back to Singapore for 3 long weeks and now we are back in LA again! I'm currently sitting in my pj with my face mask on and enjoying the peace and quiet while Charlotte's in school.

3 weeks was a pretty good time but of course with more time I could always do more. Charlotte too had the time of her life. She loves Singapore so much, she is still telling me everyday that she wants to go back to Singapore. The main reasons are... she doesn't need to go to school and she can watch as many television programs as she likes. I hardly control her in Singapore just as long as she is not bothering me. I know it sounds terrible.

For this trip, Charlotte was a total different personality from the previous trips. She is totally not clingy to me at all. In fact, she volunteers to stay at home with my parents and my brother. She thinks going out for lunch or dinners with my friends an I are boring haha. She adores my brother so much because she gets whatever she wants when she is with him. He brings her out to swim, play, eat ice cream and french fries. I think no kid will say no to it. She even said she wants to sleep with him every night!

The lazy duo
Total enjoyment

We did some touristy stuff on this trip like visiting the Singapore Flyer.

We met up with many friends too!

Since it was the month of October, we cannot missed celebrating the little monkey's birthday in advanced. We also celebrated my dad's birthday in Sep and Der's birthday which falls in Oct as well.

With all the fun, Charlotte has been dreading to go to school everyday. She thinks Singapore is more fun than LA now. Wait till we head back for good and reality will hit her hard again.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
