Bro's Wedding

The reason I am back in Singapore, is to attend my brother's wedding on 1st July. Congratulations!

Even though this is a belated post, I have yet to see the photos from the official photographer. With a baby in toll, it was almost impossible to take pictures or have a proper conversation with anyone. I had to snap and run off to my needy baby. Fortunately for Derrick's new cam, I have a couple of decent photos at hand. The new Sony camera was definitely a good buy!

The usual wedding routine started in the morning where the groom and brothers got ready to fetch the bride.

Charlotte on the other hand was a total brat that morning. She does not do well in a crowded house. Whenever there is an occasion like CNY, in this case a wedding where everyone gathers together in a house, Charlotte tends to act up. She hated the attention that people gave her. She does not want anyone to touch or look at her. She will just be crying for Mummy every few mins or whining over nothing and it gets to my nerves. Look at that unhappy face of hers.

Getting her to take a pic was not easy.

Rare pic of her smiling

I lost my cool with her and gave her a good scolding because she was crying and whining way too much. She vomited on my bed and cried herself to sleep that afternoon. Sigh...

The evening was much better. Mainly because everyone knows her reaction and tried their best to just ignore her as much as possible. Also, when it's meal time, food can really shut her up for a while.

Finally a nice pic of us without the monkey. Can you see her foot at the left hand corner of the pic? I had to dash off again after this photo.

The little monkey does not like attention. However she loved going up the stage to dance! She had a ball of a time dancing by herself up on the stage that day hahah. Oh well, whatever that makes her happy, makes mummy and daddy happy too.

I managed to take a few photos with family on that day but I wished I had more time to be able to hold more conversations with everyone. At least I managed to take a nice pic with my grandma. I think this is one of my fav pic :)

Till the next wedding!

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
