Turning One

Baby Charlotte is turning 1 next Monday and we are heading back to Singapore to hold a birthday party for her. We are going to try and squeeze about 80 people in our tiny, empty pigeon hole. I wonder how it will turn out. The buffet lunch and cake have been settled so far. Just have to get the house decorated a little and pack some goodie bags for the children that will be attending Charlotte's party.

Charlotte will probably not understand what is going on but she gets excited and claps whenever she hears the words Happy Birthday or hears the Birthday song being played. Guess she learnt everything from BabyTV. Yes she has been watching a lot of TV but before anyone starts to judge me, I feel that it is a good source of entertainment for her in this cold weather and I think she is learning. As the weather turns cold, I feel so lazy to dress her up and bring her out. Nonetheless, she managed to hang out with her friend on the weekend at the park where it was freezing.

The double trouble unites... Charlotte looks like a funny granny hahhaha

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

Pending Down My Thoughts for 2021

10.07pm, 31 Dec 2021.  The year 2021 is coming to an end. The year of Covid. The year we left LA and returned to Singapore for good. It has been 9 months since we got back but I still feel like it happened so recently. One of the Singaporean family we met in LA and hung out very often is in town to visit. Charlotte asked if we can return to LA together. She asked if we are really not going back anymore. We all miss LA a lot. Definitely much more than Moscow even though Moscow is a very memorable place too.  Spent the day at Sentosa, The Luge. Kiddos had a lot of fun despite the heat. I enjoyed myself a lot too and I am missing the times we hung out in LA. Thinking about them going back and us staying behind makes me a little sad. The kids still got along very well even though we have not met for sometime. Hopefully their friendship will remain as they continue to grow up. Recap of 2021 1. I realized I can bake.  2. I love making bread or trying to make food cute. 3....
