2D1N in Bintan

It has been a while since the last time I went to Bintan but everything at Bintan Lagoon remained the same! Oh the only thing that is no longer the same... The small little factory outlet near the terminal has closed down haha. Y am I surprise? Nonetheless, it was a good 2 days short trip to Bintan. It was also rare to be able to get such a large group of people out together! A total of 11 of us :)

As we took the earliest ferry over, we were unable to check in. Even though we paid for early check in which was an extra $20 if i'm not wrong, we could only check in at 11am. Thus we slacked at the lobby the whole time.
Check out the fatty bombom who thinks he's very sexy hahaha

Along with us was Mr Watermelon.. The joke of the trip haha. Poor der was made fun of when he decided to buy a watermelon over. In the end, it was such a refreshing treat after all the BBQ food. Before we ate him, we decided to take some pic with the star of the trip haha

I realized that regardless who I go Bintan with, instant noodles for lunch is always part of the menu. Everyone was pleased with lunch that day.

Once we settled our growling tummies... Off to the beach we went! As usual, der needed to make some funny poses for the camera

The volley ball was our best friend on the beach

In Bintan, there is really nothing much to do besides paying for activities at the leisure centre, lazing by the beach or swimming in the pool.

Planking? ahaha looks more like they have drowned.

Another must do in Bintan.. The BBQ for dinner... We bought so much food, we almost puked from eating haha

This sums up our 1 night Bintan trip. Byebye Bintan..

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
