Mt Kinabalu

I made it up Mt Kinabalu and I am back!(back with pain all over my body... haha) I thought I was never going to make it. I must say it was a tough hike up but I enjoyed the company thoroughly. I'm sure I won't have been able to make it up without them. I have interesting friends~ hah

This trip also gave me many first time experiences. My first time...
1. Climbing a mountain

At the base with the girls

The macho guys haha

2. Not bathing for 1 day as there was no water up in the mountains due to the dry season. I must say it was pretty gross but I guessed we were too tired at that point of time.

3. Sleeping together with people who fart and snore.

4. Seeing how someone's eyes can light up sooo brightly and talk so excitedly at the thought of food.

I think this will be the first and last time I'm there. It's too painful hah. Nonetheless, I think I have some pretty good pics. All of them looked like we're having so much fun.

Signs of fatigue...

The super high steps we have to climb

Yeah! Some group pic time

I made it to the summit!!!!!

It was freezing up there while we waited for the sunrise. 9 degrees.

The sunrise. We were so high up, the clouds were beneath us.

See how steep the slopes were? We had to hold on to ropes to pull ourselves up at some pt. Well it did felt like we were at the top of the world then.

We also tried our hands on the intemediary rock climbing. It was tiring and scary at the beginning. Looking over the cliff gave me the chills. That's me in my gear, all prepped up. Going down pics are not in my cam so stay tuned for more.

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
