Perth Updates

Back from Perth! And I also had my co.'s Christmas Party last night at Jewel Box. It was good overall but I still feel that it lacked something. Maybe it's the group of ppl. As the co. is much bigger as compared, there were so many unfamiliar faces. I remembered the first party we had, the people at the table were all so close. We were just sitting there, chatting and laughing the whole night. Whereas for last night, it was more of having fun, taking pictures, running around. I guess it's just different. Anyway, pictures will be up when i'm done looking through them :)

As for Perth, it was fun!! Maybe it's because I didn't have much expectations in the first place. Everyone was telling me how boring the place is. Well, it is boring at night as all the shops closed at 5pm and most of the time, we'll be back in the hotel by 7pm. However we were only there for 5 days. So everyday was packed with activities that kept me busy and sometimes exhausted.

Our Hotel. It's a heritage hotel.

Day 2: City Tour

Day 3: Farm Stay! Bindoon's Windmill Farm

One of the highlights of the trip. The sky at night was simply AMAZING!! The blanket of stars took my breath away completely! I will really love to go back just to see the sky of stars. All I could see was the shiny stars in the sky. And I think I saw a shooting star :) It is a must see for everyone at least once in a life time. A pity I couldn't take a picture. Everything just turned out pitch dark.

Besides the sky of stars at night, the animals were also fun to play with :) The owners, Milton & Joan have 2 very friendly dogs running around all the time and also kangaroos as pets heh. How cool is that.
Introducing Whiskey & Soda :)

Grape Vines

We made a new friend at the farm. Her name's Shema (I don't know how to spell). She's a very sweet 14 yrs old Japanese girl :)

My aunts with the tour guide, David. I love listening to all his stories. They're very entertaining.

Highlight 2: Sand Dunes!! They're so fun! But really expensive. We wore masks to prevent the sand from getting into our mouths. But we still ended up with sand everywhere! It was in my eyes, mouth, nostrils, ears, scalp. Gosh hahah

The big 4 wheel drive

Tt's me sliding down haha fun!!! I even tried doing it sitting backwards.

We also went to the Pinnacles Desert.

This is about all the highlights of my nice holiday once again :)

The Orange Timber

Today was a pretty chill day, walking around, eating and reading my book! It has been a long time since I walked along Blk 85 market. I think the last time was during my sec sch days, on my way back to my grandma house after sch. Since I had breakfast there with my grandma today, I showed der the old sch cake shop where Cham and I bought a huge cream cake (not those fanciful ones we get these days) and finished it all by ourselves under the void deck! Der and I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a slice each :) Strawberry vs blueberry...Only $1.10 each. Those miniture ones that are sold at toast box cost $1.20 and they are only 1/3 the size of this! What a rip off for something nostalgia... Later in the evening, we decided to chill at The Orange Timber @ Tiong Bahru The Orange Timber is a cafe cum art gallery. The plates are bowl used were also meant to be something nostalgia once again... hah However, I use those cutlery at home too. There are like 3 sections to this small cafe...

JetSaver Light Challenge - Penang Trip

A very big Thank You to Jetstar and JetSaver Light! We had an AWESOME trip. Not only was it a cultural and stomach full filling trip filled with nothing but one of the very best food :), we also experienced the affable nature of the people in Penang and most importantly, we made many friends to keep :) Below was the itinerary that got us selected. And we're proud to say that we completed everything mentioned and accomplished even more. Wednesday, 1st July  marks JetSaver Light inaugural flight to Penang and also our, team 4's (GO! Go! team 4!!), inaugural trip to Penang on Jetstar with a budget of SGD60. After the initial briefing and collecting of our SGD60 which we converted to  RM144 , we were all ready and excited to jet off. Checking out the duty free at terminal 1 before boarding . Upon our arrival at Penang, we were warmly welcomed by a group of local performers . A surprising start to the trip. A photo taken together with 2 of the performers outside Penang International...
